The Anna Jinja show focuses on the stories, issues, and questions connected to adoption and foster care experiences.
The host is an international adoptee with biological roots in Korea and adopted roots in the United States. As you can imagine, her journey and experiences as a transracial adoptee are multifaceted. Her experiences have been with the pain of discrimination and rejection as well as the joys of self-discovery and learning to embrace all aspects of her identity.

Along the way, she has discovered that she is not alone. We’re all – in some ways – adopted into or out of homes, cultures, communities, and relationships as we grow and evolve. This show illuminates the theme of adoption, in all ways, in our lives. And how those experiences create who we are and who we are yet to be.

Her hope is that through engaging with the guests and creative content, we are welcomed home in this world, cradled in the belief that we belong, that we are worthy, and that we are loved.

So stay tuned, and you may discover your own adoption story.

Adoptive parents are more than aware that their child has suffered great loss in relinquishment, and they long to create a haven of love for their child.
However, many times, the adopted child pushes love away. This can be because of RAD and the trauma that keeps hijacking the child’s brain.
Some children don’t exhibit pushback behavior until their teen years or when they are searching for their biological roots.
Adoptive parents must prepare themselves for this possibility by hearing the stories of other parents. They will realize:
1. They are not alone.
2. The pushback isn’t proof of ineffective parenting.
3. Their child can heal.

Have you ever felt called to create something bigger than yourself? Something that truly rocked your world, and changed the trajectory of your life? Did it hit you at the worst moment? Me too! I was walking the picket line with my husband pushing my special needs son in his wheelchair. We had just gone from dual income, 2 kids to NO income, 2 kids. We didn’t know how we were going to pay the bills, the mortgage or put food on the table. The future looked really bleak. As we were walking, it hit me like a ton of bricks. I realized that in addition to all this we were never going to be able to meet my older son’s lifelong needs! I knew then that I needed to make big changes and quick! To be able to create a legacy for our family, I was going to have to change everything I was doing, and everything I believed my life would be. It was terrifying! I’ve always been a take charge person. But what people didn’t see was the fear and doubt I found myself riddled with. They had no idea how worried I was that I’d never achieve the dream that was beginning to form; that I’d fail my son. Then I realized that like King Arthur and the Knights of the Round table, I didn’t have to have all the answers. I needed to create a community who could support me on my journey; people who were building amazing legacies, so their stories could inspire me to keep moving forward. I realized I could actually live into my own Legacy. We’re here to tell you that YOU can too! We are on a mission to help people like you and me live into a legacy they love. Join in as we share inspiring stories of ordinary people creating incredible legacies and learn from those who support us along the way. I am your host Michelle Slaney-Trovato and this is the Living Your Legacy Podcast.

On March 30, 1952 four men were executed in Athens, Greece. They were accused of being communists and committing acts of espionage and treason. Three years later, the daughters of one of these men were put on a plane and sent to America. They were adopted by a wealthy Greek American couple in Massachusetts. Their adoption was the first of a long line of adoptions between Greece and the US that has been kept a secret for years. It is a story that takes us back to the Cold War years and to a relationship of dominance and submission between the US and Greece. But it’s also a personal story, about facing one’s past — decades after being forced to forget. Can a broken family come together again?

Welcome to A Womb of One’s Own with Sarah-Jane Crawford. This is a podcast about our experiences and feelings navigating our ambitions and our proverbial biological clocks. Through a set of candid interviews with amazing, successful and high-profile women, we eggsplore a taboo subject familiar to so many of us. Funny, intimate, and always honest, each episode explores women’s lives in their entirety but unlike other podcasts we also discuss one issue our guests have experienced around their fertility. By sharing never-heard before stories, A Womb of One's Own aims to normalise conversations about our bodies and how they work for us as we work to have it all. This podcast is a space to help everyone, feel like they can be part of the conversation and engage with their fertility wherever they are in their lives and journeys. On this podcast we share the stories, the knowledge and the truths women need to know (with the help of experts as well) to help you feel like you can take ownership of your fertility without feeling worried, or defined, by your ability to have a child or be a parent. And we know that every person’s journey is different; so whether you want a child, are not sure if you want kids, are experiencing your own fertility and health challenges, want kids later on in life or don't think you want children - we promise - this podcast is for you. A Womb of One’s Own is an independent podcast co-created by Emmy Award-winning presenter and broadcaster Sarah-Jane Crawford and award-winning producer and executive producer Clarissa Pabi; and this is their first baby/podcast together. The Host is Sarah-Jane Crawford, the Producer and Executive Producer is Clarissa Pabi, Sound Design by Clarissa Pabi, Artwork by Naomi Gennery, Mixing and Engineering by Kate McGinn, and original music by Aiwan Obinyan.
