April Fallon talks with John DeYoung about his adoption story!

Today on the podcast, we are so excited to feature Renee Hettich’s story of her experience adopting 4 children internationally. One of her children is from Guatemala, and three of them are from China, our first Chinese adoption story on the podcast! Renee shares how none of the four adoptions went exactly according to plan, with undisclosed health difficulties of which she was unaware at the time, developmental delays and a host of other issues. She knows better than most the challenges of adopting internationally, but she also shares her joy at being able to give lives to these kids who may otherwise have been stuck in the terrible conditions of an orphanage.

John DeYoung returns to ADOPTION NOW. He was adopted from Korea and has now started Shift Freedom Conference. On this episode, April Fallon talks to John about Adoption and Human Trafficking. If you are in the adoption world, this is something you must be aware of.

On today’s episode, Cherie Burton shares her story as a birth mother in an open adoption and an adoptive mother. She is an author, international speaker, and former Mrs. Utah. She and her husband have two biological children together and they have adopted two babies. She talks about the heartbreak and peace she experienced as she did what she felt was best for her first daughter. Cherie also opens up about the challenges she faced while going through the adoption process and what it was like to become an adoptive mother. This is a very unique story told from two sides of the adoption triad.

Megan Clark was adopted from Korea at 11 months old. The transition to America was not easy for her. Hear how her parents loved her through that time and how she finally attached. Megan shares how thankful she is that she got a forever family and she gives advice for adoptive parents who are raising little ones.
