‘The Secret Life of Songs’ is a new podcast series exploring ten classic pop recordings to get to the heart of why they mean so much to us. I'm a musician who writes and performs under the name 'sky coloured' and in each episode, I'll discuss and perform a different classic pop song, from Sam Cooke, to the Beach Boys, to Tina Turner, and more. The story of the blues travels from the coasts of Africa, through the cotton fields of the Mississippi Delta, across the hills of Appalachia, to the streets of Chicago and beyond. The roots of blues can be found in slave songs, spirituals, and field hollers of the American South; its sound can be heard in early rock-and-roll, and in today's alternative and hip hop landscapes. Journey with us to learn about the influences and impact the blues has had on musical culture, and how it has been brought to life on stage at the Kennedy Center.

Ponieważ nasze rozmowy głównie krążą wokół świata muzyki, postanowiliśmy podzielić się z wami naszą największą pasją z 2 różnych perspektyw. Poznacie z nami wiele wartościowych albumów, historii i anegdot. Będzie o tym jak nagrywano legendarne płyty, skąd się brały nazwy zespołów i tytuły kawałków, czy jak były kradzione i odzyskiwane znane gitary. Będą też smaczki o koncertowych wykonach i gigach, o managerach i znanych groupies. Pogadamy o tym kto rozkręcał znane festiwale, jakie unikatowe brzmienia wykreowały wytwórnie, a także jak szalone życie wpływało na artystów. I wiele, wiele więcej.
