Who am I?
I have a great passion for Film but needed a vessel to capture my constant film-related arguments and shenanigans. Thus in 2017, "FilmBusters" was born! Never did me or my co-hosts believe that anybody would actually be interested in said jibber jabber but we guess that is just one life's mysteries. One of the biggest joys as a podcaster and listener of podcasts is to interact with listeners and other hosts. Throughout my time podcasting I have found some amazing Film/TV related podcasts that make you feel completely open to interactions and will always respond back with gratitude or discussion. An open dialogue between host and listener will always be a joy and crucial to my podcasting/listener experience.
My Show
What is my podcast about and/or how does it relate to the playlist topic you chose?
My podcast has only survived thanks to the hosts burning friendship and a loyal fanbase who engage, feature and literally control the content of the show by suggesting films to be covered. The dynamic has evolved over the years from one which was very much presenter-led, to one that responds to the asks and the suggestions from its listeners. FilmBusters keeps changing, moving forward and looking to stay fresh and as we blaze through another year with no plans on stopping any time soon! We focus entire rounds on a specific year of film on the podcast. Again, entirely dictated by our listener who would suggest the first film (and year), we would then each take a turn to suggest another film from that year and that would form the basis for our next round of episodes. We didn't realise how much we were beginning to pick at and explore themes both within cinema but within society at those times. It has been a genuinely enlightening experience. One that both our listeners and us as hosts are so grateful for.
What is my podcast playlist about?
So this list highlights those very podcasts I have found that are always open to interacting with their fan base not only with gratitude for listening, but for lengthy discussion too.
