Who am I?
Born and raised in Buffalo, NY, with a lifelong passion for Dragon Ball, various nerd topics, pop culture phenomenon, and Buffalo area sports. Cohost of “Final Forum: A Dragon Ball Podcast”. I host a Dragon Ball podcast, and have listened to most (if not all) of the currently active Dragon Ball podcasts. I’ve read several books about the series, obviously watched all of the shows and read all the manga, and have been taking my base of knowledge and expanding it further to include the lives and perspectives of the creators (both of the manga and the shows) and trying to better understand WHY Dragon Ball became what it is.

What is my podcast playlist about?
Shows that discuss Dragon Ball and focusing on those that really go a little deeper than just reacting to the show or manga. I like listening to opinions from time to time but I want those opinions to feel informed so that even if I don’t agree, I understand that the person on the other side put some thought into it.

2. We Gotta Podcast - Dragon Ball From A To Z
Why this podcast?
Possibly my favorite Dragon Ball podcast that I don’t host. There’s a good rapport between the hosts and their near encyclopedic knowledge about which animation teams worked on which episodes allows them to approach discussions from an informed place but also utilizing a sliding scale to properly contextualize discussions.

3. Kanzenshuu - The Original Dragon Ball Podcast
Why this podcast?
Were this show more active, it’d be my number one pick. Kanzenshuu occasionally slips a little too far for my taste into current news which can make backlog episodes a bit irrelevant, but they laid so much of the groundwork for more informative content here in the states, that I happily hit the 30 second skip button to get to their content which is extremely knowledgeable and well researched.

4. Kame House Party - A Dragon Ball Comedy Podcast
Why this podcast?
While the knowledge base here is, by admission of the hosts themselves, almost non-existent, the purpose of the show is entertainment and it delivers in spades. Aaron and Vince have some of the best chemistry between podcast cohosts I’ve ever heard and they routinely inspire a lot of laughter.

5. Eric Hates Dragon Ball Z
Why this podcast?
Well, the quality dips off for Dragon Ball discussion very fast from the top few, but what gives Eric Hates Dragon Ball Z the edge for me is twofold: 1 - Episodes featuring Eric. Typically the show does something really fun when bringing Eric in for a discussion to wrap up a particular storyline that has him playing some kind of game to try to piece together the story up to that point since he refuses to watch the show. These episodes are extremely fun. 2 - Occasional voice actor interviews. There is one other show that also does this (Dragon Ball 4 Life) but those featured on Eric Hates Dragon Ball Z feel a touch more genuine. I would give a mild recommendation to DB4L also but that’s it. 6 total shows that I feel are worth subscribing to out of dozens that talk about Dragon Ball.
