The best podcasts for Critical Fangirling Booknerds
Share
Who am I?
We're three book nerds with a lot of education with a big love for the art of storytelling. We like to obsess over little details, speculate over what comes next, and talk about how each books we read makes us better writers. We dive into books in sections so we can really dive deep into world, its lessons, and its characters. We chose books because each of us has been saved in some way by literature and because we have all studied storytelling at great lengths. Each of those hosts have at least one degree in Writing and we all have more than one degree total. We care about our craft as writers and want to share what we've learned and what we continue to learn.
My Show
What is my podcast about and/or how does it relate to the playlist topic you chose?
We love books but we can never turn off our writer brains. We talk about the lines we love, the character arcs we can't get out of our heads, plot, pacing, justification, worldbuilding, and more. We wanted to make a playlist that highlights fellow book nerds because that's what we are!
What is my podcast playlist about?
Some people think you can't love a book AND be critical of it. But that's not true. It's important to be critical because in actively engaging with a story we can check it's credibility, identify our own biased, and perhaps change our worldviews. That's what's on this playlist. Fellow deep divers who like to find nitty gritty details that highlight or challenge our opinions and feelings as readers. People who like to grow their knowledge of the world even if it is through metaphor.

We are a wife-husband comedy podcast reading romantasy. A book club style podcast! I haven't read a book in years, then read The Fourth Wing and Iron Flame and knew this was my new personality until Onyx Storm lol. Plus, my husband's takes about the absurdity of the books were hilarious. So we started a podcast and it's so much fun and I love that others think he's funny too 😄 Ps.
