Who am I?

I'm a passionate nature lover, science enthusiast, and co-host of the lighthearted nature comedy podcast For the Love of Nature. With a background in conservation education and a knack for storytelling, I bring energy, humor, and curiosity to every episode. My love for connecting people to the wonders of the natural world makes me a go-to voice for fellow nature and science nerds. I’ve always been fascinated by the natural world, and that curiosity led me to a career in conservation education. Growing up, I was the kid who collected rocks, bugs, and any other critter I could find, which eventually turned into a passion for understanding the bigger picture of how ecosystems work. I’ve worked in zoos and aquariums, helping people connect with animals and the environment in meaningful ways. This podcast gives me the opportunity to combine my love for nature with storytelling, sharing fascinating science and encouraging others to appreciate the beauty and complexity of the world around us.

If you're on this planet, plants have a HUGE impact on your life. Whether you're a vegan, a carnivore, or somewhere in between, plants are the basis of the food you eat, the clothes your wear, and the air you breathe. We don't intend just to teach you plant facts (though we'll do plenty of that), but to give you some insight into the cool people who work with them. From the soil to the plate to the climate, dive into the anthropology of plants (get it?) and learn a little more about why you should care about the world around you from the people who care about it the most.

This is an all animal podcast with an R rating for sex, cultural taboo, STDs, fish orgies, and an appropriate amount of cursing. Dr. Siperstein is a veterinarian and Melissa is a professional dog trainer - they have been working professionally with animals for over 30 years combined and have many stories that would get the Wild Kratts an FCC violation. Twice a month they will dive deep on a controversial subject in the animal world and wash it all down with a news story about animals that would make David Attenborough clutch some pearls. So, put the kids to bed, get a beverage of your choice, and listen to this animal podcast with an after-dark vibe. This is Totally Pawsome.
