Paranormal Mysteries Podcast

One of my favorite unexplained subjects is Fae Folk, and for many people, the topic conjures up thoughts of friendly forest elves that act as guardians to the natural world. Growing up, even my grandparents had books that spoke of these illusive beings. And although I, and my grandparents never fully believed that Fae Folk were in fact real entities, I was taught to respect them all the same, as well as the lore that surrounded them. Maybe it was my grandparent's way of teaching me to respect the woods, and all of the animals that reside within, or maybe it was actually something more.
It may sound strange, but as I’ve gotten older, I’ve started believing in the possibility that these creatures could be real. Maybe they don’t reside in our world as we know it, but perhaps they live alongside us, dwelling in an alternate reality or dimension, and stepping into our consciousness at opportune moments. This of course is just a theory, and I can’t say with 100% certainty that I believe in The Fae, but I want to.
The belief in these beings is deeply rooted in almost every culture throughout the world, albeit with slight variations as to how they look, their intentions, and their overall disposition. But one of the resounding characteristics that people everywhere seem to agree on, is that these creatures have a mischievous side. In some cases, which I’ve shared in previous episodes, some of them seem to be downright insidious. And this brings me to the main focus of tonight’s episode.

Losing someone we love is the most painful thing we can experience, but when they return from the great beyond to give us a message, the confirmation that they’re still with us can be the greatest comfort of all. When I think of Halloween, I’m reminded of my childhood. Decorating the house with my family, counting the days until I got to wear my Halloween costume, and imagining what mysteries resided just beyond my reality. It’s always been a special time for me, almost as if I’m connected to it, but in a way that I don’t fully understand.
As I’ve gotten older, my appreciation for this season has continued to grow, and evolve. Maybe it’s because I have a better understanding of its importance, or maybe it’s because I have a deeper respect for the strangeness that permeates every aspect of our world. Either way, I see Halloween as a reminder to appreciate that strangeness, and to embrace what we don’t understand.
So tonight, I’d like to celebrate Halloween by bringing you several different experiences that cover a variety of phenomena. Experiences that are, most definitely, Paranormal Mysteries.
