As part of the unholy pact to produce the Halloween festivities we now present to you our penance, the first of our Christmas specials. This week we’re talking about that most ubiquitous of terrors, the first sign of the coming doom, Christmas music. From old standards to new favorites we dig through the muck and come up with only the finest in holiday tunes, rewarding them with our praise even while we banish the worst offenders to the hellish and bleak ISLAND OF SHAME! Also why do we need a new Grinch movie every decade? Like I have to imagine the return on investment would be the same if you just re-released the old one into theaters. From old favorites to exotic additions we cover all the bases and try to get to that one special dish that the holiday just wouldn’t feel right without. Along the way we remember thanksgivings past and try to pick through how the feelings of the day itself help enhance the flavor. We hop in the way back machine and lament, mourn, and fight over all those lovely snack foods that were snatched away from us too soon. We also are the first media outlet to link the Trump administration to the death of Mr. Pibb, the demotion of Captain Crunch from the admiralty and the suspicious disappearance of the fan favorite wonder ball. As we continue to stalk our way through the killing fields of the spooky season we decided to call an audible and instead of haunted places we chose to tackle the spine tingling soundtrack to this the best of months. We count down some of the graveyards hottest tracks and dig up a few classics guaranteed to reanimate even the ripest of corpses. We then take an extended detour to discuss the masterful new Halloween film in theaters now, if you want to skip the spoilers jump ahead to 43:15.
