@media only screen and (max-width:800px) {.fusion-title.fusion-title-1{margin-top:25px!important;margin-bottom:25px!important;}}We’ve had a lot of interest around our Wordpress-MYOB Exo plugin recently. So to kick off our channel we thought this is a great opportunity to introduce a product we’ve developed to solve an emerging need: integrating MYOB Exo with your website.Companies use MYOB Exo to manage products, debtors and orders. It’s ideal for managing their business inside their four walls. But now they’d like to sync Exo with a website portal, where customers can see prices, place orders and check dispatch info. They’ve seen that there are integrations out there for Magento and Shopify. Often they prefer Woocommerce because it’s so easy to use. By now they will have learnt that there’s another option - they’ve seen that we have a plugin for connecting Exo to Wordpress, and they’re looking to understand more about how it works. A typical conversation with someone looking for a website integration would go something like this... MYOB Exo-Wordpress Plugin The first thing to know about our plugin is that it’s not a “plug and play” plugin that you might expect. There’s a very good reason for that - it’s because everyone who uses Exo wants a different outcome with their website integration. It became clear that a one-size-fits-all approach just wasn’t going to work. Exo users needed greater flexibility than what you can get from a point-to-point plugin. So our plugin is really a custom integration that allows us complete freedom. You tell us how you’d like your web portal to work, and we can build it within Wordpress. So how does that work with Woocommerce? Initially, we started working on a Woocommerce plugin. But we quickly abandoned that because Woocommerce has a fairly rigid structure. Anytime you wanted to do something a little outside of the existing framework, the development time would be prohibitive. Plus Woocommerce has been built primarily as a B2C ecommerce software. If you’re B2B, as many Exo users are, then building an Exo-Woocommerce plugin feels like forcing a square peg in a round hole. OK, so if Woocommerce isn’t ideal, then what is the answer? We actually built our own ecommerce framework that, if you’re familiar with Woocommerce, it looks and performs very much the same. The difference is that, because it is a standalone framework, we can mould and shape it to produce the end result that suits you. It can include whatever functionality you need, and none of the features that are not relevant to you. Our plugin is extremely flexible and more lightweight than Woocommerce; front and back end. It’s this flexibility that makes our plugin unique. Regardless of what you choose - Woocommerce, Magento or Shopify - they’re all very ridgid ecommerce platforms built with B2C in mind. If you’re using Exo and selling to the public, one of those solutions may work just fine for you. But if you’re looking for specific functionality, you can’t beat the flexibility that our custom built plugin offers. One more thing - Magento and Shopify are out-and-out ecommerce platforms. With our Wordpress plugin, you have the best of both worlds – an Exo integration that performs exactly how you’d like it to... And you get complete design freedom to build the rest of your website to a high standard. You can kick your Exo and web marketing goals all on the best website platform available. How Does It Work? OK let’s talk more about what the plugin does... Our plugin pulls through all of your products, categories and debtors into Wordpress. Changes to any of this data in Exo is refreshed on the website on a 24 hour cycle. (That timing can be whatever you want). Your customers can login to the website to view their product pricing. Pricing is be displayed in their currency. Customers can browse your product range, add items to their cart, and place orders all on the website. Orders are pushed through into Exo immediately where your dispatch con...
