Antonio Gray is the VP and Divisional Merchandising Manager of Apparel for Down Town Locker Room aka DTLR , an over 250 store retail chain in 19 states. Antonio talks about starting out in the stock room all the way up to becoming a VP and how looking back at his humble beginnings still helps him to navigate effectively to this day. Antonio's knowledge of the industry allows for a great analysis of it and some of the commonalities in some of the great brands over the years. This is definitely an interview for all those looking to understanding the large retail chain mindset, operations, entry, and maintaining a brand at that level.
RIP to George Floyd. The prelude to this episode was filmed afterward 8 days after the murder of Mr. Floyd by the Minnesota Police Department. Our condolences go out to his family and loved ones. The nation is forever changed due to the protest and looting that was sparked by his murder of Mr. Floyd committing an alleged nonviolent crime of using a fake $20 bill. We felt it was important to make a statement about this and start the conversation of how we can rebuild together and figure out the first steps of actionable change. This is our community.
