Bands such as Blink 182 ,Agent 51, Sprung Monkey , Unwritten Law started at the San Diego, CA music venue called SOMA . SOMA was an all ages club with a heavy emphasis on local bands. This is where many bands grew up and became national touring bands by starting off on the smaller stage and then growing their audience to get to the main stage and open for national acts as well as headline their own shows . Jerm booked bands and ran the club from November 1989 until 1997 .Jer took over running the club and eventually opened the latest version with Scott Raynor years later . We helped grow the scene and bands such as Blink 182 ,Agent 51, Sprung Monkey , Unwritten Law ,Ghoulspoon ,Slightly Stoopid , P.O.D. ,Buck-O-Nine , and many many others as well as National acts such as Green Day , No Doubt , KORN who had become regulars as far as main stage acts . Jerm & Jer talk with band members , production friends and patrons about the scene and shows .Union and Metro is recorded at Jerm's house , headquarters for Red Rum Skates ( skateboard company ) . The club is now owned by a corporation and has a whole new crew working there .
Jerm also is known from the bands : P.O.U.R. , Tribe of Fallen Dreams , Cockroach ! , MEAT, Urine , Sin Sin77 , The Graveyard Dogs , Enclosure of Blood , Flinch , Off With Your Head , Weird Al Queda , Reberth, Deathiosaurus and currently The Left Outs .Logo artwork provided by : Chris Armes : Green Ribcage Graphics ;[email protected] .Recorded at Red Rum Skates headquarters in San Diego CA 92103Music for intro and outro courtesy of Break Anchor From Detroit spinach dip provided by the lovely Miss V- .facebook : https:/www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100071150805517 @jermaddams (instagram & facebook )@redrumskates (instagram )@redrumskates/witchboards ( facebook )

Season 2 is Her Song Journeys from Andrea Belita which is the stories that built the songs she wrote. She is a singer/songwriter/producer and is passionate about moving from insecurity to confidence because she had to do that for herself. She grew up without electricity, without walls in their makeshift home in Idaho, and she has created a life she loves and thrives in. After 14 years of dating, terrified of repeating her parent's male-dominated relationship, she found the love of her life after reading, learning, and practicing healthy relationships. She grew up in an extreme Mormon household and has since found joy in spirituality instead of religion. Recently, psychedelic experiences have been healing the family she grew up in with five of the 9 family members having psychedelic therapy and overcoming blocks they previously were not able to release. Hopefully, you can relate to the realness you will find in these raw experiences.
Season 1 is about athletic, adventurous women that Andrea interviewed while building her product and company Swet Seat. Swet Seat sold in 2022, so if you still need a seat cover, head over to swetseat.com to support the new owner.

Ever wanted to get to know your favourite bands? The aim of my podcast is to interview as many bands as I can in an informal way so that you get to know them as people rather than just an album cover.
My interviews are totally unscripted, unedited and we talk about whatever the band wants allowing their fans to get to know them on a more personal level.
I'll be hosting a series of quizzes in order to find the cleverest band.
Stories from the van and artist interviews.
As Jacob and the members of the indie band "Oceanic" tour the country, they recount stories from the road, life lessons learned, and much more!
