Vapor and Cuckoo are former military pilots and current advanced flight instructors who rant about issues they see in General Aviation and provide solutions on how to do better. Pete "Vapor" Reddan is retired Air Force Pilot having flown the KC-10, T-6 and C-17. Mike "Cuckoo" Kloch is a retired US Marine Pilot who flew the F-18. Both logged combat sorties over Iraq and/or Afghanistan an they apply their unique perspectives to General Aviation Training to help better the community. Sometimes we even highlight the good stuff in General Aviation. This is not instructional, it's entertainment, it is our opinion. Go find a local CFI and give them your money to be a better pilot.

Tim Haskin has hung around airlines and airports since he was a little kid, and that led to a career with airlines, then in travel technology, time as a private pilot and aircraft owner, an obsession with collecting airline memorabilia, and a deep knowledge of the airline industry and its history.
Those many experiences filled his head with a lot of airline stories, but the people around him are tired of hearing about it. The result was Airline Time Machine and a website, social media presence, and now podcast to provide an outlet for the stories of the airlines, the people, the aircraft, and the airports that contributed to our air travel experience today, with new episodes across a wide range of topics each week!
"Try Not to Crash". The last thing my instructor said when I went solo. Sound familiar?
Join me as I chat about the ups and downs of learning to fly general aviation from the perspective of an older student pilot. From my near misses to my big mistakes, from what not to do's to things you should do, I have probably cocked them all up.
This podcast could also be titled 'how not to gain a PPL'. So learn from my mistakes, but do not do what I tell you - I am not a flight instructor.
Never use the internet to learn to fly, it will only teach you how to crash!

Greg Brown, “the story-teller-poet-laureate of aviation”
Ride along with renowned aviator, writer, and photographer Greg Brown in his light airplane, the "Flying Carpet," as he searches behind clouds for the real America, experiencing countless aerial adventures along the way.
A former National Flight Instructor of the Year, Greg is author of five books, a former Barnes & Noble Arizona Author of the Month, and longtime aviation adventure columnist for AOPA Flight Training magazine. Some reviewers have compared his book, "Flying Carpet: The Soul of an Airplane," to sixties road-trip classics like "On the Road," and "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance."
Says aviation author and humorist Rod Machado: “Greg thinks with the mind of a pilot, questions with the curiosity of a philosopher, and sees with the eyes of a poet.”
Observes Nina Bell Allen, former “Readers Digest” Asst. Managing Editor, "You don't have to be a pilot, or even a frequent flyer, to soar with Greg Brown in [his] Flying Carpet."
So buckle in and join Greg for the ride!
