Who am I?

My name is Eric Anderson and I live in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. I work as a Communications Leader but used to be a CBC Radio journalist and high school teacher. For the past five years, I have hosted, produced and edited a podcast called YXE Underground. It features people who are making a difference in my community but are flying under the radar. I was 24 when I started teaching high school and it was a steep learning curve. I struggled with the workload and planning involved and would have appreciated a podcast or two that could have helped me in the day to day preparation.

My Show

What is my podcast about and/or how does it relate to the playlist topic you chose?

YXE Underground features interviews with people who are making a difference in Saskatoon but are flying under the radar. In my five seasons of YXE Underground, I’ve had the pleasure of interviewing several teachers. I think the work teachers are doing in their classrooms deserves to be recognized and celebrated.

What is my podcast playlist about?

I wanted to choose podcasts that could offer young teachers insights into their professions and let them know that they are not alone in the challenges they are facing.

The podcasts I picked and why
