The best podcasts for telling more engaging climate stories

Who am I?
I'm Andrea and I host the Living Change podcast and advise corporate and political leaders on how to put their work on the global climate and sustainability leadership map. I am driven by the awareness that anyone with any size platform should be building and leveraging their climate influence with all of their might. I come from a marketing to women background (co-authored the book, Don't Think Pink) that transitioned into sustainability and now climate leadership. I focus on finding and "naming and faming" leaders doing this right as a way to nudge other leaders to get ON climate action. I am driven by personal values that have long been about reducing my own emissions footprint. I've been riding a bike for transportation for 20+ years, and started the hashtag #Bikes4Climate during the Paris climate talks. Six years ago or so I went vegan, and have since added a focus on food systems transition to my work. You'll see me biking or ebiking around Seattle and hear me talking a lot about KEXP, the community radio station there (incredible live DJ-hosted music that streams globally) as a real source of absolute joy for me. It's been a dream to host Living Change: A Quest for Climate Leadership with Larj Media as my production team . I've been able to combine my deep networks and story framing insights with my enthusiasm and passion. While living in Portland, OR, in the 1990s, I became a biking as transportation enthusiast and it changed the whole course of my life. Now, I look for ways to highlight leaders who are also driven by personal values to act on climate through their work or business ventures. My aim is always to "name and fame" those doing it right as a method of making the many doing it wrong irrelevant. The more we talk about companies and leaders taking bolder steps, the more that appears to be the social norm, and more of their peers will follow suit. I absolutely love talking with my guests and helping them get even more proud of what they are doing in their worlds.
My Show
What is my podcast about and/or how does it relate to the playlist topic you chose?
Living Change is about the corporate, political and cultural leadership I've found in unusual places. I interview folks like CFOs, mayors, a journalist, a vegan restaurant owning DJ and an Emmy Award winning writer/director on how they are "living change". These folks are doing things like riding a bike for transportation, eating a plant-based diet, and they are forwarding related shifts through their business ventures or policies. The big key - the majority of them have gotten comfortable being public about their personal values as a way to build stakeholder trust. I look for folks to "name and fame" toward changing the perceived social norm of climate leadership. My point is that climate leaders need not be the usual white males with fancy titles who tend to be on the big global stages. A small-town mayor, a consumer tech executive, or a Hollywood writer each have specific niche communities of influence. Whatever they are *seen* doing (via social media shares or otherwise) can be a huge nudge to their peers. That's the point of Living Change - all through an enthusiastic, hopeful lens.
What is my podcast playlist about?
I take in a wide variety of information and media, all day, every day. It can seem to have no common thread, but it does. This is a list of podcasts that collectively guide my thinking on how to better communicate positive and compelling leadership stories that should inspire a lot more folks with networks and influence to get going on climate action now.
