The best podcasts for husband and wife banter

Who am I?

We are a husband and wife that enjoy having conversations about goofy films, shows, and books. We love pointing out all the tropes, bad dialog, weak writing, wooden characters, and awful premises. Sometimes we are surprised by what we find. Ultimately, we're just having fun. There are a few other podcasts out there that feature a husband and wife team, and we find that format enjoyable - which is why we decided to adopt it. It's familiar to us.

My Show

What is my podcast about and/or how does it relate to the playlist topic you chose?

We're also a husband/wife team that would love to hear more couples get their voices out there on the podcasting scene.

What is my podcast playlist about?

This playlist highlights some of the better husband/wife podcasting teams we've come across. We haven't found too many, so we'll add to this list as we find others.

The podcasts I picked and why

1. Dumpsterpiece Theatre

Why this podcast?

How could we make this list and not include our own podcast? It's what inspired us to start this in the first place.

Welcome to Dumpsterpiece Theatre, where cinematic trash becomes gold! Join us as we dive into the world of so-bad-they're-good movies, shows, and books. She's an enjoyer of guilty pleasures; he's a reluctant convert dragged into the dumpster. Together we dissect the cringiest and most baffling offerings from the bargain bin of entertainment. From vertically-filmed social media 'masterpieces' to direct-to-DVD disasters, we're here to watch it so you don't have to (but you probably will anyway). Tune in for laughs, groans, and insights as we turn cinematic trash into podcast treasure!

2. Digging Up the Duggars

Why this podcast?

Liz (wife) loves this show for the in-depth analysis they do on the Duggars, and Scott (husband) can relate to learning the production aspects of podcasting.

We're taking it allll the way back to the very first Discovery special. A rewatch for me (Whitney) and a side-eyed first watch for me (Tim). In light of some...uh...legal happenings, we look back from the beginnings of this saga to catch the cringe, the red flags, and the tater tot casserole.

3. Sister Wives: Love Should Be Multiplied Not Divided

Why this podcast?

A mutual friend told us about this one, and it's got a similar format to others that we've heard. But we ultimately added this because it's another husband/wife team.
