Who am I?

I am Fitz, co-host and producer of the Knock Once For Yes paranormal podcast. I work in audio post production and have a keen interest in all things strange and unusual, so it seemed only natural to combine two of my passions into a podcast dedicated to sharing paranormal encounters and haunted history. I grew up surrounded by the paranormal and weird, from 'Graham' the bum pinching ghost to 'Jack', the ghost of my great uncle - who likes to flap the letterbox to let you know he's having a walkabout around the house. It was just kind of accepted in my family that these things were real and normal. As I grew up, I read more about other peoples experiences and loved to share them with those who also had a love of ghost stories, though saying that, some of the best stories I've heard often come from people that don't believe!

My Show

What is my podcast about and/or how does it relate to the playlist topic you chose?

Each episode I and my co-host Lil, share our own spooky experiences with the paranormal, visit haunted locations, explore local legends & urban myths as well as share several of our listeners real ghost encounters. We started our show, several years ago, as - even though we both loved many paranormal podcasts - there was nothing that quite exactly filled the gap that we wanted to listen to, especially ones that focused on the UK, where we live. So we made it ourselves! The playlist below features various shows that we love, that examplify the love of storytelling, well researched history and excellent production that we strive for every episode.

What is my podcast playlist about?

This list is about some of the podcasts that I listen to that stand out of the crowd for one reason or another. There are lots of great paranormal podcasts out there, too many to list here, but some really stand out - either because they research their topic so well, are expertly produced or have a unique take on the paranormal that should be more widely publicised. Sometimes all of the above!

The podcasts I picked and why

1. The Haunted Objects Podcast

Why this podcast?

This podcast is the newest show on this list, only having been out for 7 months, but the hosts (Greg and Dana Newkirk) have been investigating the paranormal for a long, long time. The show is well produced, well researched and perhaps most importantly, a unique take on the paranormal that you are unlikely to find elsewhere. Things will get weird, really weird, but Greg and Dana will make sure you don't get lost along the way. You'll have plenty of laughs as well as the most down to earth high strangeness with the Haunted Objects Podcast.

3. Our Strange Skies: UFOs Throughout History

Why this podcast?

Our Strange Skies is a must for anyone with more than a passing interest in the UFO phenomena. Rob is meticulous in his research, but don't let that make you think that this is a dry and humourless narration of dusty old documents. The show is lively and fun and whether it be a lesser known case or one that everyone has heard of, Rob will have found some information or have an insight that you probably haven't come across before. Gondola Man for the win and remember: don't lick the UFO!
