Who am I?

I am the producer and host of The Life Shift podcast, which launched in March 2022. I created the platform to allow my guests to share their stories about the pivotal moments that have changed their lives forever. I earned my second master's degree in Mass Communications in 2022. While in this program, I took a class called "The Art of Podcasting." This class is where The Life Shift Podcast was born. I do everything for The Life Shift podcast from A to Z, and I learn something new every week. I created this show as an homage to the little 8-year-old version of me who lost his mother in a motorcycle accident. My guests inspire me weekly, and I'm so grateful to be on this journey.

My Show

What is my podcast about and/or how does it relate to the playlist topic you chose?

In each episode, I have candid conversations with people about the pivotal moments that changed their lives forever. We all have our stories, but through these conversations, we discover communities. We learn that there are commonalities through the ups and downs that we all face. But most importantly, we learn that we are not alone. The Life Shift podcast highlights life-altering moments and humanizes the struggles and triumphs through them all. I believe my own experiences through grief have allowed me to be empathetic as my guest often share deeply personal stories. The goal is always to help listeners feel less alone in their experiences and circumstances.

What is my podcast playlist about?

This podcast list is for someone deep in a situation in their life and looking for others' stories to help them feel less alone. We all have moments when we know we are not the only ones going through something, but it feels like we are. I go to these shows (and the convos on my show) to listen back and find little pieces of each story/episode that resonate. I've found that everyone's story has a little something we can all learn from or connect with. We don't have to have the same experiences to connect and relate. These shows help make the world a better place.

The podcasts I picked and why

1. The Art of Kindness with Robert Peterpaul

Why this podcast?

This show and its host are top-notch kinds of energy. Robert Peterpaul exudes the title of his show in each episode with individuals in the Broadway and entertainment spaces. He brings in people that others may view as celebrities and has a human conversation with them about kindness - acts of kindness, tips for kindness, and general stories about kindness in the entertainment industry. I highly recommend this burst of kind, happy (most of the time) energy. Think popcorn (right, Robert?).

5. Decoding Success with Matt LeBris

Why this podcast?

Matt LeBris is doing the dang thing. He uses his experiences in life to dig deep into his curiosity to ask thought-provoking questions of his guests. The gems in this podcast come in each episode when Matt's vulnerability is exposed to his guest, and they reciprocate that same level of vulnerability. He's well over 250 episodes, and I don't see that stopping soon. Check out this show for some development and connection.
