Who am I?

I'm Barnabas, Creator of The Kids' Code Podcast. I am also an entrepreneur, cyclist, gamer, and avid podcast fan. I have wanted to create an audio drama for a few years, nut haven't got around to it. Winnie Taylor's 4th and Inches just released its final episode last week, another amazing finish to an audio drama, so I decided to create a list of my top 5.

My Show

What is my podcast about and/or how does it relate to the playlist topic you chose?

My podcast is about codes, ciphers, secret messages, spies, and a bit of general war history. I create short-ish stories as part of my show, but no audio dramas or long stories yet.

What is my podcast playlist about?

This playlist is my top 5 audio dramas for children. Most of these are created by Gen Z Media, but only because they are good at it.

The podcasts I picked and why

1. Six Minutes

Why this podcast?

This show is the most streamed children's audio drama in history- for good reason! This beautiful sci-fi story about robots, mutant kids, and futuristic tech had me hooked from the beginning to end.

The Rez is an imaginative story set in a futuristic city where life is basically a videogame and a robot controls the city where all humans live. Set in a very strange future where everything seems perfect but is actually completely wonky! Preen, a show-offy influencer, and sensible Sav try to outsmart the wicked A.I. JEF who runs their world. Together they find an ancient phone that can communicate with kids in the past (Pastlings - that’s you!) who teach them about weird ancient ideas like kindness, friendship and how nature isn't really that terrifying. JEF hates all these things and sends robots, drones and other future gizgads to try and stop them! The Rez is a multi-award winning series with top quality jokes, a brilliant UK cast, funky sound, and some secret messages about life, kindness and looking after each other. The Rez is a production of Rezilience Ltd. (supported by Arts Council England), in partnership with Gen-Z Media. For more great shows, visit GZMShows.com.
