Who am I?
I am a human person, living in New Jersey with my two dogs and husband. I’ve been hooked on podcasts since the debut of Serial (you too?) and finally took the plunge as a podcast creator in 2021. As a self-appointed ‘Review Queen’ (gender nonspecific) I have a proclivity to spend hours in the User Review sections on Amazon before I will click Add To Cart. So naturally, Yelp, TrustPilot, TheKnot, RateMyProfessors, Zocdoc, TripAdvisor and the many many others have become treasure troves for me. Give me a funny 1 Star, a murky 3 Star, or even a thoughtful 5 Star: I. Am. Interested. But throw in some Replies From Seller, or a trip down the Not Recommended Section and let’s just start a bonfire and let me regale you with some of my favorite finds.
My Show
What is my podcast about and/or how does it relate to the playlist topic you chose?
Review That Review is a weekly comedy podcast scouring the internet for questionable, hilarious, or noteworthy reviews to RATE on a scale from 1 to 5 in an attempt to see if it’s a useful review or…a… Karen! In a world of conflicting reviews, we tell you which reviews you can trust. We are the only Review Podcast to rate AND review the reviews themselves.
What is my podcast playlist about?
Here is a fun collection of Online Review Centered Podcasts! Including serious podcasts for tips for business owners and reviewers alike, to wacky comedy podcasts taking the reviews and turning them into improv gold. Something for everyone that is intrigued by the ever growing Review Sections on the internet.
1. Your Stupid Opinions
Why this podcast?
The new podcast is excellent. James and Jimmie immediately feel like your friends that you're sharing a beer with as they take the piss out of various internet finds. The quality is top-notch and I love that they cover various and multiple topics each week. Give it a listen! In their own words: Two comedians, James Pietragallo and Jimmie Whisman, explore the most opinionated part of the internet... the reviews section! Each week, we find the comedy and absurdity in reviews of anything and everything. No matter what -- these reviews will be passionate, and probably pretty stupid!

3. Behind the Review
Why this podcast?
As one of the serious picks for this list, what I love about Behind the Review is that the host, Emily, is a Yelp Small Business Expert and the intention of this podcast is conversations with business owners AND customers who wrote a Yelp Review about them! It's a fascinating joining of forces as growth tends to be at the forefront. Definitely recommend listening! (Plus, I can't get the theme song out of my head!) In their own words: It’s no secret that business owners want to receive positive reviews and customers want to have a positive experience. In Behind the Review, Yelp and Entrepreneur dig a little deeper on both accounts.
