Perry Mason is a fictional defense attorney who originally appeared in detective fiction by Erle Stanley Gardner. This long running radio drama had several actors who played the famous lawyer starting with Bartlett Robinson and then followed by Santos Ortega, Donald Briggs, and finally John Larkin who played the famous attorney after 1947. The radio portrayal of Perry Mason is a far more involved lawyer then the one who became famous on TV, the radio version would rather swap gunshots with evildoers than sit in a boring courtroom, waiting for the deliberation! The show was only 10 minutes and was more intense and favored action than courtroom drama. Perry Mason ran 12 seasons and moved to TV in the late 1950's with the now famous portrayal by Raymond Burr. Each show follows a continues story line similar to soap operas. Join us as we join Perry Mason in crime mysteries and court room drama.

The Jack Benny Program, starring Jack Benny, was a radio-TV comedy series which ran for more than three decades and is generally regarded as a high-water mark in 20th-century comedy. Jack Benny (February 14, 1894 in Chicago, Illinois â December 26, 1974 in Beverly Hills, California), born Benjamin Kubelsky, was an American comedian, vaudeville performer, and radio, television, and film actor. He was one of the biggest stars in classic American radio and was also a major television personality. Benny was renowned for his flawless comic timing and (especially) his ability to get laughs with either a pregnant pause or a single expression, such as his signature exasperated "Well!". In hand with his dear friend and great "rival" Fred Allen â their long-running "feud" was a famous running gag. Jonathan Thomas and His Christmas on the Moon is a daily children’s series that ran between Thanksgiving and Christmas in 1938. The story begins with six year old Jonathan Thomas lying in bed on Christmas Eve with his teddy bear Guz. While he is lying in bed two elves slide down a moonbeam into his room. Guz, his teddy bear, chase the elves back up the moonbeam and Jonathan Thomas follows in order to get his Guz back. Upon reaching the moon Jonathan Thomas meets the Man in the Moon and his horse Gorgonzola. After being accused of kidnapping Santa Claus, the troop is commanded to bring back him in time for Christmas. On their adventure they confront evil witch, a dragon with thirteen tales and they meet several characters from the Lewis Carol classic: Alice in Wonderland. Will they be able to rescue Santa Claus from the Squeebubblians in time to save Christmas?

Dragnet was created and produced by Jack Webb, who starred as the terse Sgt. Friday. Webb had starred in a few mostly short-lived radio programs, but Dragnet would make him one of the major media personalities of his era.Webb was a stickler for accurate details, and Dragnet used many authentic touches, such as the LAPD's actual radio call sign (KMA-367), and the names of many real department officials, such as Ray Pinker and Lee Jones of the crime lab or Chief of Detectives Thad Brown. Dragnet was perhaps the most famous and influential police procedural drama in American media history. The series gave millions of Americans a feel for the boredom and drudgery, as well as the danger and heroism, of real-life police work. Dragnet earned praise for improving the public opinion of police officers. Actor and producer Jack Webbâs aims in Dragnet were for realism and unpretentious acting. He achieved both goals, and Dragnet remains a key influence on subsequent police dramas in many media. The shows cultural impact is demonstrated by the fact that even after five decades, elements of Dragnet are known to those who've never seen or heard the program.
