In 'One Minute Remaining' I speak with inmates serving lengthy prison sentences for a range of different crimes. From arson to robbery, attempted murder and even murder itself and everything in between.
I'm not here to try and prove them innocent or guilty, what I am here to do is allow them the chance to tell their stories. We'll look at the case's against them and allow them to tell us their accounts of the events that lead up to their incarceration.

Through Lockdown 2 Legacy I am striving to make a change in the community through mentorship, consulting, and advocacy. My goal is to help those impacted by incarceration and change the narrative of the culture and policies that increase the odds of recidivism. I will be discussing current topics that impact policies, interviewing formerly incarcerated individuals and family members of incarcerated people, and getting some input from those who hold positions within organizations that can make a change. I am also a formerly incarcerated individual, so I will be sharing my own first hand stories as well as having input from my wife/co-host and two of my currently incarcerated friends.
What does it feel like in the split second when you realize you're about to be locked up in a foreign country - possibly for life? In Locked Up Abroad, host Jim Clemente (Real Crime Profile) brings you first hand accounts from people who lived this nightmare, starting with Billy Hayes, subject of the Oliver Stone movie Midnight Express. A riveting, immersive audio adaptation of the hit TV series by the National Geographic Channel. From Istanbul to Bali to Sao Paulo, you'll hear what it's like to be locked up abroad.

Podcast series charting the #IPP prisoner scandal. Listen on #Acast #ApplePodcasts #Spotify or wherever you get your podcasts.
Today there are nearly 3,000 people trapped in British prisons on the now abolished indeterminate IPP (Imprisonment for Public Protection) sentence, many for minor crimes like stealing a mobile phone. None of them know when they are getting out, or whether their IPP sentence could mean life in prison. To date, 87 IPP serving prisoners, with a lack of certainty and losing hope, have taken their own lives. The IPP has been called a ‘stain on the British justice system’ and ‘psychological torture’. But most people have never heard of it...
In this ‘tragically brilliant’ and hard hitting multi-part podcast series, the investigative reporter Sam Asumadu is digging deep into the plight of prisoners serving IPPs, and their families, to find out what has gone wrong with this sentence and to shine a light into the dark corners of the IPP story.
Featuring contributions from prisoners serving IPP sentences, their families, campaigners, criminologists, psychologists, journalists, lawyers, retired judges, MPs and Peers.

If you want to do something, you can tell a friend to listen to this series: knowledge is power and the more who know, the harder it is for injustice to take place.

Most people who know James K Jones today are surprised to discover that he spent a significant part of his life in prison. Despite being released for more than two decades, based on his numerous charges (including a federal offense), he should still be incarcerated. However, James has since moved on to marry and raise three wonderful children while also owning a business. This is the narrative of how he ended up in prison, his experiences inside: the people, the challenges, the dishonesty, and the deep self-realizations he encountered. Ultimately, James believes that his time behind bars actually saved his life. This is James recounting his journey, now intertwined with his wife Haley's story. Together, they share the tale - including all the twists and raw details - that eventually led to genuine liberation.

Every year hundreds of people die preventable deaths at the hands of police, whilst in prison, or in the care of mental health services in the UK. Some of the names you’ll know. Most of them you won’t.
Bereaved families are left fighting for answers, demanding justice, and campaigning for change, in a system that is stacked against them.
Drawing on four decades of campaigning and in conversation with those at the forefront of these struggles, hosts Lee Lawrence and Lucy Brisbane shine a light on injustice, amplify stories of resistance that need to be heard and explore the best way forward.

¡Vamos a hacerlo
