The Creator's Arena Podcast is a real, unfiltered look at learning to sing—no matter your age, background, or how late you start. Hosted by singer-songwriter Jay Koostix, this show is for anyone who’s ever thought, “It’s too late for me,” or “I’m not good enough to sing.”

Jay started singing later in life, after the pandemic hit in 2020. Like many, he took that moment to reevaluate old dreams he had buried—dreams he once believed he didn’t deserve because he hadn’t been singing since birth. But after buying a guitar, watching a few singing videos, and diving into vocal lessons, courses, and self-learning, he fell in love with singing and songwriting—and never looked back.

Now, Jay shares everything he’s learned about building vocal confidence, making time to practice with a busy schedule, and creating consistent growth even as a late bloomer. Whether you're a complete beginner, a young singer just starting out, or someone picking the mic back up after years away—this podcast shows you that it’s not too late, and it’s not too early. You don’t need to be the best—you just need to start.

The Creator's Arena Podcast is your weekly dose of practical singing tips, mental encouragement, and creative tools to help you finally pursue the voice—and the dream—you’ve always had inside.

You can check out the video version of this podcast on YouTube at:

https://www.youtube.com/@The_CreatorsArenaPodcast

Jay also teaches adult beginners how to sing through 1 on 1 lessons and his online courses at creators-arena.com & his YouTube channel @TheCreatorsArena, where you’ll find singing workouts and technique videos to teach you to sing better quickly.

It's a new music show (mostly) hosted by 20-year WBCN veteran dj Shred. We believe we need to keep moving forward with what we listen to and want to share our musical findings with as many folks as we possibly can, because we feel the bands we play should be more widely heard like it used to happen when a band was giving airplay on the local radio station. I come from that world and think we need to continue to push it for a bigger audience to enjoy and give these bands a lifeblood. Email us at [email protected] for feedback. Thanks!

PREMIERING AUGUST 23 2022 - This is the recording of Frank Nawrot’s first opera, Don Henry. It is based on a true story, told here in four parts. - Don Henry was a Dodge City native and University of Kansas student whose ideals led him to fight fascism in the Spanish Civil War of the late 1930s. Don was a young man when Mussolini and Hitler established fascist governments in Western Europe. He and others from around the world traveled to Spain to help prevent a fascist government from taking hold there as it had in Italy and Germany. He became a member of the International Brigade that fortified the leftist Spanish Republicans (also referred to as the Loyalists). Don knew the dangers of his ambition and so hid his real intentions by telling his family he was taking a vacation in Europe. On his first day of battle, Don was mortally wounded by a gunshot to the chest as he tended to an injured comrade. - In this recording, the story of Don Henry is told from three asynchronous perspectives: 1) a 21st-century 24-hour news channel program, 2) a letter written by Don Henry to his family in Kansas, and 3) the frontlines of the war as told by Salaria Kea, a nurse from Akron, Ohio. - The words of this opera are taken from historical documents, poems written by British international brigaders, and original lyrics by Frank Nawrot. The historical documents are the University of Kansas Board of Regents press release commissioned by the House Un-American Activities Committee and Don Henry’s letter. - Don Henry stars Neal Long, Gretchen Pille, Rachael Rule, and Frank Nawrot. Listen to Don Henry wherever you listen to your favorite podcasts. - If you’d like to learn more about the staged version of this opera or donate to the International Brigade Memorial Trust and the Abraham Lincoln Brigade Archives, please visit https://franknawrot.com/donhenry/

Each episode also includes some silly games related to being an asshole about music and what politicians listen to in their free time. There is also "Music Makers San Diego" hosted by long-time radio guy Gary Lee where he interviews local San Diego talent each week and records 2-4 original songs of theirs in the studio as part of the podcast. Gary is a pro at asking about each artists' songwriting approach, experience in the industry, and future plans.

2022... Pixies return to the studio. This time in Guildford, Vermont to record the new album 'Doggerel'.

In the frost bitten run-up to Christmas 2018, Pixies set about recording a new album at Dreamland Studios, near Woodstock, NY. In an unprecedented move, they recorded every waking moment in the studio and provided all areas access to local music biographer Tony Fletcher to create a ground breaking document: It’s a Pixies Podcast. Over its 12 engrossing weekly episodes, It’s a Pixies Podcast reveals why the new album sounds like a dusty book of eerie folklore tales, full of black arts, Byronesque imagery, death, and its aftermath. Beneath the Eyrie is released on September 13.

Hello and welcome to ‘Your new favourite song’ a podcast brought to you by The Ennrons where each week we will feature a recently released song from an independent artist. My name is Bernard Ennis and I will be your host. I'll be getting to know the artist and the song and create a unique insight into the creative process.

Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Welcome to the Song Saloon!
Hi, I'm Jordan Smith Reynolds. I'm an LA based singer-songwriter interviewing artists I admire. If you love discovering new music, listening to intimate live performances, and conversations exploring the creative process...you’ve come to the right place!
Each episode of the Song Saloon features an artist through the lens of a song. It starts with a live performance, followed by an interview with the songwriter about the featured song, and ends with the final recorded version.
There is ALWAYS more to a song than what's on the surface. Getting to peel back the layers through live performance and talking about the stories behind the songs never fails to leave me inspired and eager to write again!
