Who am I?

I am a podcaster, online entrepreneur, and avid podcast listener. I am one of the 3 host on the Serial Progress Seeker Podcast (a podcast about starting and building a business with your own podcast). I love learning about our history and where we come from but sometimes it can be hard to sit down and watch an entire documentary. These podcast get the job done without tying you to your couch.

My Show

What is my podcast about and/or how does it relate to the playlist topic you chose?

My podcast is all about how to start your own successful podcast. I was inspired to start my own podcast because of some of the podcast on this list.

What is my podcast playlist about?

This is a list of some of our Favorite History themed podcast at Serial Progress Seeker. Each one is a captivating and fun deep dive into the history that shaped where we are today.

The podcasts I picked and why

1. Dan Carlin's Hardcore History

Why this podcast?

This podcast is one of the most entertaining podcast that I've ever listened to. This is a long form podcast that can be intimidating at first glance because most episodes last more than 2 hours. Those hours fly be due to the carefully crafted delivery and storytelling. This podcast is best suited for longer road trips. It will make the drive fly by and you'll come out of each podcast series feeling like you have a deeper understanding of the subject covered. Dan Carlin is a master storyteller and every hour listening to Hardcore History is one that has been well spent.

In "Hardcore History" journalist and broadcaster Dan Carlin takes his "Martian", unorthodox way of thinking and applies it to the past. Was Alexander the Great as bad a person as Adolf Hitler? What would Apaches with modern weapons be like? Will our modern civilization ever fall like civilizations from past eras? This isn't academic history (and Carlin isn't a historian) but the podcast's unique blend of high drama, masterful narration and Twilight Zone-style twists has entertained millions of listeners.
