The best podcasts for true crime deep dives.

Who am I?

As a true crime podcast host I obviously love listening to true crime. I love Episodic and deep dives as long as they are factual and ethical. I chose this subject because I know there are many people out there who love listening to true crime but want all the information not just an overview of the case. I am passionate about getting the word out about unsolved cases and getting justice.

My Show

What is my podcast about and/or how does it relate to the playlist topic you chose?

We have an episodic true-crime podcast but love the deep dives just as much. The work and energy that go into these podcasts we had to give them a shout-out.

What is my podcast playlist about?

This list is all about those ethical true crime podcasts that follow one case for at least an entire season.

The podcasts I picked and why

1. True Crime Bullsh**

3. Culpable

Why this podcast?

Culpable's first season was one of the very first deep dives I ever listened to and it had me hooked from the very beginning. That first season is about the suspicious death of a man by the name of Christian Andreacchio. Tenderfoot knocks this one out of the park and leaves you wanting more.

Explore unsettled true crime cases where culpability has yet to be established. Host Dennis Cooper covers new cases in Culpable: Case Review. In season one, Dennis explored the case of Christian Andreacchio, whose death in 2014 was ruled a suicide after a 45-minute investigation, despite substantial evidence that points to murder. Season two explored the 2013 death of a young mother, Brittany Stykes, who was shot and killed while driving on an Ohio Highway with her 1-year-old daughter seated next to her. New season coming soon!

4. Missing Maura Murray

Why this podcast?

I don't even know where to begin when it comes to this case, it is just mind-boggling how Maura just vanished. Crawlspace Media has done an amazing job with this deep dive.

Maura was a 21 year old student in February of 2004 when she inexplicably drove three hours from her dorm in Amherst, Massachusetts to the White Mountains of New Hampshire and vanished. At around 7:30pm her vehicle was involved in a single car, non life threatening accident at a hairpin turn on dark & desolate Route 112. She has not been seen or heard from since. Now two filmmakers set out to find answers on this mystery by diving deep into Maura's life, the region in which she went missing, and the online world of citizen detectives. If you have any information that could assist the ongoing investigation please contact the New Hampshire State Police Cold Case Unit at (603) 223-3860 or (800) NAB-DOPE.
