Who am I?

Celebrating 13 years of podcasting in July 2023 and over 800 episodes as producer and host of the weekly storytelling podcast Story Worthy, Christine Blackburn has interviewed some of the biggest names in show business like Larry King, Sugar Ray Leonard, Greg Proops, Judy Gold, Marian Keyes, Bobcat Goldthwait, Kevin Nealon and on and on. Over the last 13 years the stories have ranged from laugh out funny to heart-wrenching but always with a positive message. Christine’s newest podcast is My Life in 3 Songs. This show features comedians sharing 3 songs that have impacted them, not necessarily the comics favorite songs, but songs that are attached to strong memories, that paint a picture of their life. Christine Blackburn (Story Worthy Podcast) invites comedians on the show to share 3 songs that take them back, to a time and place. Listen to My Life in 3 Songs exclusively on Spotify and follow the show on Instagram and Twitter @MyLifein3Songs Hear the comedians you love, sharing stories about the music they love. My Life in 3 Songs exclusively on Spotify. I have been a lover of storytelling ever since I heard The MOTH back in 1999. I started performing at the Moth in Los Angeles and really enjoyed my time. However I've always had questions after the show for the storyteller. Often I would end up chasing them to their car saying what happened next? What happened next? I realized I needed to start my own podcast so that I could ask the questions the audience might be thinking about. At that time I was listening to the Adam Carolla podcast and the Marc Maron WTF podcast. These guys made me realize it was feasible to do my own show.

My Show

What is my podcast about and/or how does it relate to the playlist topic you chose?

I started Story Worthy in 2010 and now have over 800 episodes. The idea of Story Worthy is to have comedians and other Hollywood talents bring a story to the show and the episode is based on that topic. It is not a long form interview show, it's merely about he topic the guest wants to talk about.

What is my podcast playlist about?

The shows I've listed below are hows I find a lot of inspiration from. They are all non-fiction. I figure true life is about as interesting as you can get. Why listen to fiction when you can hear something TRUE! I hope you like them and I hope you'll listen to Story Worthy and My Life In 3 Songs as well.

The podcasts I picked and why
