Who am I?

I'm half of the instructors from Society and Pop Culture 101, alongside Novacaine. I have an interest in movies, comics, wrestling, and anime. And a passion for politics and social issues. This usually comes out in me blending all these topics to make examples, in conversations. Choosing entertainment news and pop culture was a way to blend important conversation with a spoonful of sugar. My experience in learning and explaining is sometimes you need a good reference point to catch the attention.

My Show

What is my podcast about and/or how does it relate to the playlist topic you chose?

Our podcast is about explaining societal situations through the lens of pop culture and entertainment. Sometimes people tend to over-complicate things when explaining them. So we figured sometimes the best way is the entertaining way. Sometimes a Miles Morales story can make it easier to help explain being overwhelmed.

What is my podcast playlist about?

This playlist is just as blended as our podcast can be. 5 Podcasts that can tackle situations and events in different genres. Wrestling, plastic surgery, friendship, hip-hop, mental health, and The Culture are all represented here.

5. Partially Plastic

Why this podcast?

I chose this one because our society is huge on beauty standards. Sometimes those standards can be detrimental to people mentally. Especially, our younger generation of women. This podcast asks you to step back and educate yourself before you go under the knife. It covers all sides of the conversation. Kelly even brings in real guests to talk about their real experiences.
