Who am I?
I'm a retired educator, semi-entrepreneur, and lover of learning. My girlfriend and I started the podcast, Waiting is the Hardest, to share true stories of hope and healing through perseverance and triumph. In 2017, I was involved in a near fatar car crash. Since that time, I'm on a mission to highlight stories of other warriors who have overcome obstacles in life. I also aim to educate people on patient care issues and medical advocacy, specifically in the black community.

What is my podcast about and/or how does it relate to the playlist topic you chose?
Waiting is the Hardest shares true stories of hope and healing through perseverance and triumph. We cover a different topic each season: Season 1 covers automobile accident survivors Season 2 covers Sickle Cell Anemia warriors who were cured through Bone Marrow Transplant. We also discuss latest medical advances in sickle cell with two medical providers. Season 3 (out August 2023) will cover the topic of grief.
What is my podcast playlist about?
The podcast episodes on Season 1 take listeners through the story of one woman whose life was catapulted into chaos after her car accident. The episodes share her personal story of her identity preaccident and how it completely changed post accident. Season 1 is a story of rebirth. Season 2 shares the story of a young lady who was born with a debilitating blood disorder, sickle cell anemia. Sickle cell is prevalent in the black community. Not only do we share Sofia's inspirarional story but we also provide resources and advocacy strategies to help families in a similar situation.
