Who am I?

Veteran Comedian and Podcaster who can make you feel like you're spending time with your favorite Uncle Many times in the past as a comedian, I've had to travel in my car long distances. The only time these trips weren't painful were the times I was able to find an entertaining radio host or engaging talk show. I figured, why just be a listener? Why not create my own and give the same great feeling to others?

My Show

What is my podcast about and/or how does it relate to the playlist topic you chose?

The podcast was created because of my love of storytelling. I love listening to great stories, but I love telling great stories even more!

What is my podcast playlist about?

A great podcast (in my opinion) is a pod that is like a time machine. You enter it and an hour goes by without you noticing it. These podcasts do that for me. I think others will have the same awesome experience.

The podcasts I picked and why

1. Business Wars

Why this podcast?

This is a favorite because of the amazing behind-the-scenes stories of businesses we all know about. But, what don't we know about them and their origins?

Netflix vs. HBO. Nike vs. Adidas. Business is war. Sometimes the prize is your wallet or your attention. Sometimes, it’s just the fun of beating the other guy. The outcome of these battles shapes what we buy and how we live.

Business Wars gives you the unauthorized, real story of what drives these companies and their leaders, inventors, investors and executives to new heights -- or to ruin. Hosted by David Brown, former anchor of Marketplace. From Wondery, the network behind Dirty John and American History Tellers.

This is one of the greatest podcasts of all time. What started as an investigative story about a small-town crime becomes a life portrait of one of the most interesting people you never met.

S-Town is a podcast hosted by Brian Reed from Serial Productions, a New York Times company. The story follows a man named John who despises his Alabama town and decides to do something about it. He asks Brian to investigate the son of a wealthy family who's allegedly been bragging that he got away with murder. But when someone else ends up dead, the search for the truth leads to a nasty feud, a hunt for hidden treasure, and an unearthing of the mysteries of one man's life.

Serial returns with a history of Guantánamo told by people who lived through key moments in Guantánamo’s evolution, who know things the rest of us don’t about what it’s like to be caught inside an improvised justice system. Serial Productions makes narrative podcasts whose quality and innovation transformed the medium. “Serial” began in 2014 as a spinoff of the public radio show “This American Life.” In 2020, we joined the New York Times Company. Our shows have reached many millions of listeners and have won nearly every major journalism award for audio, including the first-ever Peabody Award given to a podcast. 5. Malcolm Gladwell, Revisionist History: Special Event

Why this podcast?

A podcast from one of my favorite authors. It's not possible to come away from one of his books or podcast episodes without feeling entertained... and smarter afterward.

New York Times best-selling author Malcolm Gladwell (The Tipping Point, Outliers) talks with Virginia Heffernan about Revisionist History. Produced by Panoply, the podcast network from Slate, the 10-episode narrative podcast series explores events in the past that have been overlooked or misunderstood.
