The best podcasts for Female Startup Founders

Who am I?

Besides hosting and producing the Women Disrupting Tech podcast, I help medtech and climate tech startups with their content marketing. On the personal front, I love running and staying fit, going to soccer games, and helping out in an art gallery of a friend of mine (also a female founder). I got passionate about diversity in tech as I read about the gross underfunding of female-led startups when compared to male-led startups. At first, I started researching the reasons why but I soon found out that a lack of positive role models leads to a relatively small number of female founders of tech startups. That is where the Women Disrupting Tech podcast started to form. To be clear, I do not consider myself an expert.

My Show

What is my podcast about and/or how does it relate to the playlist topic you chose?

My podcast starts with the 2021 stat that only 2% of VC funding in tech startups is invested in startups with female founders. In the episodes, I interview the women who managed to be successful in tech (as a startup founder or otherwise) to explore the reasons why. And we discuss what needs to be done to change it. On the podcast, I interview guests who are either a woman disrupting tech (startup founder, CxO of a tech company, or who can help women in tech succeed because they have specialist knowledge. And sometimes, we go low-tech or no-tech to promote a female startup founder. Episodes are so far mainly in Dutch (about 5 English episodes live, with another two ready for publication).

What is my podcast playlist about?

It's a list of useful resources for startup founders and startup enthusiasts. I've tried to include podcasts that can either help improve your business or structure your thinking. Hope you like it.
