Who am I?
I am a web developer for my main gig, but am passionate about the alternative music scene. I run a music news website called All Punked Up that gave birth to The All Punked Up Podcast in 2020 which I co-host with my best friend. Both my co-host and I grew up listening to all kinds of music but formed a pop-punk band in high school, recorded two albums, and wound up landing a meeting with one of the most influential record labels in the pop-punk scene, Drive-Thru Records, before disbanding shortly after. It was a time that really shaped who we are today. We gave our all to music as it was our main goal at the time to make music our career. All of this to say, because of our experiences playing gigs, studying songs, and paying attention to the musical landscape, we have the knowledge and understanding of the music industry. We also have a good sense of where the industry is going and what artists you should be on the lookout for.

What is my podcast about and/or how does it relate to the playlist topic you chose?
The All Punked Up Podcast is a weekly podcast where we talk about music news from around the alternative, rock, pop punk, and emo music scene. We also interview up-and-coming artists as well as legacy artists we all know and love. It's co-hosted by myself and my childhood friend John Pearman. We give our hot takes on the music scene, music news, and hot-button topics. We include lots of humor and sarcasm throughout, and because of our long-term built chemistry, the humor can go in ways you never thought possible.
