Who am I?
Hi! I’m Ben, I host the Not a Hoax! Not a Dream! podcast. If I stacked every comic book I’ve ever read on top of each other, it would take a long time, precious time that I could instead use to read more comics. I’ve read comics my whole life, and as silly as they can be I think they can also provoke thoughtful conversations about art, life, history, and more.

Each episode of Not a Hoax! Not a Dream! takes one comic book character and explores three issues: their first appearance, the issue where they died, and the issue where they came back to life. In the process, we find some of the most ridiculous moments in comics, as well as see how comic book storytelling and the comics market has evolved over the years.
