Who am I?

Food and food history, outdoor cooking, growing food, exploring the social aspects of food and recipes. Well I'm passionate and curious about all things gastronomic and of course we humans make better healthier social connections through eating together, sharing our food and stories with each other.

My Show

What is my podcast about and/or how does it relate to the playlist topic you chose?

Well I podcast about food history, and culture through the ages. From Ancient Greece and Rome to the Maya Civilization and the history of some of our most common ingredients nowadays. How did happen to become so popular? And what was similar in the past with today? Importantly also, what was that our ancestors find irresistible with their ingredients?

What is my podcast playlist about?

Food, food, food... Recipes, history, and social aspects of food. A map of our cultures, of what's so different from place to place but also extremely common to all of us! We are so similar after all. We have more that brings us together than separates us and thorugh food history this becomes so obvious!

Using food to explore all manner of topics, from agriculture to zoology. Eat This Podcast tries to go beyond the obvious to see how the food we eat influences and is influenced by history, archaeology, trade, chemistry, economics, geography, evolution, religion — you get the picture. We don’t do recipes, except when we do, or restaurant reviews, ditto. We do offer an eclectic smorgasbord of tasty topics.
