13 Essential Rules of Internet Marketing
01/06/22 • 17 min
Internet marketing is simple and complex all at the same time. Solve a problem for people with your product and sell it to them.
The "sell it to them on the Internet" part of the equation has creative challenges, programming and coding challenges, requires copywriting skills, analytical work, and customer interaction. There's a lot of moving parts.
Being a successful Internet marketer is not only about well designed sales funnels, frameworks, and good approaches, but it is also about flexibility, responsiveness and being willing to make mistakes, learn from them and put those lessons to work...quickly.
In this episode I give you 13 rules that I've used to guide my internet marketing success over the last two decades from starting my first Internet company is 1996 to working in Marketing at AOL.
If you put these rules to work they will help you and your business become better at internet marketing which means more sales for your business!

Chase Clymer is the Co-founder at Electric Eye where he and his team create Shopify-powered sales machines from strategic design, development, and marketing decisions. He is also the host of Honest Ecommerce, a weekly podcast where they provide online store owners with honest, actionable advice to increase their sales and grow their business.
An entrepreneur from an early age, Chase launched multiple successful local businesses while attempting to “make it” in the music industry. Since the band did not pay the bills, Chase turned to digital marketing as a way to make ends meet while touring. Once the dream to be a full time musician was dead, he narrowed his focus to ecommerce and started Electric Eye.
