A podcast delving into 101 amazing songs from the 1980s that dealt with the threats posed by nuclear war.
You'll hear us discuss the biggest hits of the decade (did you even know they were about nuclear war?), songs that you might have forgotten and that need to be heard again, and songs that you may never heard.
Every fortnight, Dave and Pank will be exploring some of the best known hits from around the world, to lesser-known deeper cuts. Every genre of 80s music gets a look-in: punk, new wave, funk, soul, rock, heavy rock, indie, reggae, disco.
We will be discussing the songs from a musical and cultural perspective. What else was happening in the world of television and literature to help paint this nuclear landscape?
With every podcast, we will update our Spotify playlist with the songs we are going to discuss. Have a listen to the tunes, and then the chat, or the chat.

Welcome to The Nightmare Engine — a weekly show that churns with dread and drips with dark insight. Hosted by David Viergutz, the Master of Malice, this show tears back the curtain on all things horror. From the art of scaring readers to chilling interviews with guests of the macabre—authors, occultists, scholars of the strange—you'll explore the gears that keep the genre grinding.
And nestled in the static... notes from The Curator of The Dead Letters, whispering deeper truths from the shadows.
This isn’t just a podcast.
It’s a transmission from the other side.
Meet Nolan Blackwell, Teen Sleuth - Girl Detective, and her dog Casper. Nolan has a love of all things Nancy Drew and Encyclopedia Brown. Casper has a penchant for mischief.
•••

•••
Fans of Nancy Drew and Scooby Doo will delight in this hilarious, opioid-fueled dive into the world of latch-key children and the haunted, dangerous places that meddling leads.
•••
ZOiNKS! features Jordan Trovillion as Nolan Blackwell and Trey Tatum as Casper. It is directed by Bridget Leak, written by Trey Tatum, recorded by Grayson Halonen and is produced by Queen City Flash out of Cincinnati, OH.

Notorious female music critics and TikTok nanopersonalities Sally and Gabbie discuss new indie releases and conspire to make the music world an even more unstable place with their godlike theories. Gabbie gathers the bands with buzz, Sally scouts the obscure and unheard. When these indomitable forces combine, they are always very delicately opinionated.
Intro music is DETONATION by cool sorcery
Outro music is You've Got Friends by Brian Damage
