Avec toi, je vais parler de ce qu'on ressent au plus profond de soi quand on s'expatrie. Avant ça fait peur, en arrivant c'est l'excitation, mais après ? On va te poser des questions. Tu vas te poser des questions. C'est ce qu'on ressent quand ces questions nous atteignent qui m'intéresse. Sans accent, ça raconte comment je vis mon expatriation au Québec puis plus récemment en Alberta au moment où je le vis. De la préparation avant départ à ce jour.

French Expat Le Podcast c'est un nouvel épisode toutes les semaines qui raconte l'histoire de français qui vivent ou ont vécu à l'étranger, et ce depuis 2019 !
Chaque épisode met en lumière des tranches de vie d'humains qui invitent les auditeurs au voyage, à la découverte de nouveaux coins du monde, à la rencontre de personnalités singulières et à faire un pas de côté pour plonger dans un quotidien différent. Bienvenu.e.s dans Ex Expat, le podcast ! Partir c’est une grande aventure, mais revenir aussi. Mon nom est Marjorie Murphy, et après dix ans au Canada, je suis rentrée en France. Un retour assez chaotique, qui a donné naissance à ce projet. Dans Ex Expat le podcast, on donne la parole aux français revenus au pays.
“Il y a des gens qui rentrent comme une lettre à la poste, et pour eux ça se passe bien. Les plus empathiques sont souvent ceux qui ont le plus de mal.”
Nous visiterons les différentes étapes du retour, le fameux choc du retour, le travail, le logement, l’administratif et bien d’autres sujets dans le rire, ou les pleurs.

Host Bios
Daniel, a Korean American in his 30s, was born and raised in the US, having lived in Maryland, Pennsylvania, and California. During the pandemic, realizing that time is precious, he moved with his wife and young children to Korea in 2021 to help them connect with their cultural heritage and to expand their global cultural awareness. He has a background in software engineering, works as an investor, and enjoys basketball and gaming.
Jun, a native Korean in his 30s, was born in Daegu, where he also spent his childhood years. After moving to Seoul for college, he went to the US (Boston) for grad school, but returned to Seoul after and has lived there ever since. He has a background in architecture, works as a product designer, makes ice cream, and is a drummer in a band.
