How does creativity benefit our lives as grown-ups?
I'm Claire, and I re-found my creativity after a time of almost crippling anxiety. Now I want to share the stories of other people who have found or re-found their creativity as adults, and hopefully inspire many more grown-ups to get creative.
I chat with my guests about their childhood experiences of creativity and the arts, how they came to the creative practices they now love, the barriers they had to overcome to start their creative re-awakening, and how what they do now benefits their whole lives.

This is the podcast where two 'kindred spirits' believe that the pursuit of happiness is the same thing as reading a good book and being able to talk about it!This is the 45-minute to an hour-long podcast show where the two hostesses will discuss...books! They will talk about what they have read recently, whether they have enjoyed those books or not, what they are currently reading, what they hope to get into next, and other hobbies such as knitting and crocheting! A little bit of "life" talk may pop in and out of these episodes, perhaps even a guest or two will appear, but whatever occurs Brooke and Becky can be counted on to discuss one subject for sure, making this show their "bookcast"!

Welcome to Clone Yourself where you’ll learn things like, who a Virtual Assistant (VA) is, why you need one (or more) and tasks you can give them! You’ll also get tips and tricks on hiring your first VA, where to find them and how to manage them, including conducting training and measuring their performance. If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed by the number of projects and tasks you're juggling, you’ve come to the right podcast! Learn how to “Clone Yourself” to get more done! Hiring VA’s to support my business and content I create is the real reason why the Silicon Valley Business Journal named me to their 40 Under 40 List! In the past 5 years, I have overhauled my business to run itself (while increasing sales year over year) so that I could focus on creating content. It all started with a failed training to scale my business with actual employees. I had to re-evaluate everything I did in my business and that's when I made the conscious decision to move away from an employee biz model to a VA (virtual assistant) biz model. This became the defining moment of my career.I couldn't be happier! I no longer go to the office. I no longer have to deal with the headaches of employees (let's be real)... AND now I have 7-10 VA's for the price of what was 1 employee!

This is the confessional for the art, entrepreneurialism, and exaltation of handcrafted soaps; cosmetics; and perfumes. It's also a celebration of those who learn it, make it, sell it, teach it, preach it, and everything in between. You may be thinking a podcast dedicated to soap sounds boring, but I can assure you that something with a reputation as clean as soap most definitely has a filthy and entertaining side. It’s also a peek behind the shower curtain of my universe of beauty, bathing, and business. I have twenty-three years of historical accounts of exorcisms and miracles around the art of soap & cosmetics. Thirteen of those years have been as an entrepreneur. I’m thrilled to be sitting on a present-day podcasting pulpit, of sorts, and telling the tale of two beauty brands. Bathhouse Soapery & Villainess Alchemy; the proverbial sinner and saints of the podcast and the embodiment of my good & bad girl identities. I began teaching myself the science and art of soap, cosmetic, and perfume formulating at 19, at my kitchen table. Once you’re possessed by the holy ghost of creating your bath & beauty luxuries, you’ll find there aren’t enough people to give it away to. Like me, you may have the revelation of selling your handcrafted wares. *Que the baptism by fire into the entrepreneurial world. It’s not all “Insta-pretty” posts of makers milking their goats and holding trays of fresh handcrafted soap at the farmer’s market. As the former president of the world’s largest trade association for handcrafted soap & cosmetic makers, I can tell you it can be a blood bath to bring your craft to commerce. That’s why my soap kitchen is my church and bathing my religion. I personally and professionally invite you to join the congregation of Sinner Saint & Soapmaker while we worship the practical magic of beauty, business, and bathing. About Charlene Simon Being a mom at 15 and having three toddlers by nineteen, Charlene found her path of formal education by becoming a self-taught soap, cosmetic, and perfume formulator and retailer. She’s bootstrapped Bathhouse Soapery & Caldarium in 2009 with $700, and hobby-level soapmaking expertise and tools. Villainess Alchemy is Bathhouse’s wicked-stepsister boutique and is where the magic of your own bespoke bathing. Charlene is the founder and award-winning branding artist of Fat Bottomed Girl’s Cupcake Shoppe where she competed on Food Network’s Cupcake Wars and was featured on Netflix. Fat Bottomed Girl's is now owned by her oldest daughter. She's recognized for raising the bar on the main streets where she’s made a home for her boutiques. As the former president of the global trade association for handcrafted soap & cosmetic makers, Charlene has collected over a decade of requests for advice and has spoken at sold-out soap and cosmetic conventions. Charlene’s adventures in beauty aren’t only professional; she won the title of Mrs. Arkansas America and placed Top 15 at Mrs. America. She resides in Hot Springs Arkansas, also known as “the spa city” where she has her flagship boutiques for Bathhouse Soapery, Villainess Alchemy, and her makehouse where all the not-so-practical magic happens. www.CharleneSimon.com https://www.facebook.com/thecharlenesimon https://www.instagram.com/acidic7basic www.bathhousesoap.com www.villainess.net www.sinnesaintsoapmaker.com

Hi, thanks for stopping by! Life is full of challenges that can be difficult to overcome and I'm sure you've experienced some already. Maybe you've lost someone close to you, or had a parent who wasn't present, a friend who betrayed you or perhaps you've changed your religious beliefs and have had to leave your community. When you face obstacles like these, how do you break them down?
Join me, Rachel Pierman, the CEO of CraftyMonkies, a platform I created where people can come together online and in person to pursue their creative passions. I've met some incredible artists, quilters, painters, and spiritual and entrepreneurial individuals in the last few years who've shared with me such inspirational stories that just had to be heard. I'm sure my guests and I can inspire you through their real-life experiences to live a more powerful, happy and fulfilling life, maybe even find your soul's true purpose and 'break your blocks’ in the process!
You don't need to be an artist to listen, but I firmly believe creativity can help you with anxiety and depression, according to The Adobe Foundation and National Alliance on Mental Illness, more than 60% of young people surveyed reported an improved sense of confidence through painting, writing or any form of creative expression. Creativity has changed my life, it's helped me to process my thoughts and feelings, and created an inner sense of calm and peace that had long been missing from my life.
So what can creativity do for YOU dear listener, and how can it help you to overcome life's challenges? If you subscribe to our podcast you might just find the answer! I'd love to have you here as we set off on this podcast journey together!

Everyday Photography (Every Day)" is a weekly podcast where you get to listen in on a chat between a photographer (Rubin) and a regular human (Suzanne Fritz-Hanson) with an eye on making your pictures amazing and helping you enjoy your photography more. No technical stuff. No talk of gear or software. Just photography for the fun of it. Rubin brings a unique perspective to consumer media: a student of Jerry Uelsmann; an amateur photographer for 40 years; formerly of Lucasfilm, Netflix and Adobe; director of The Rubin Collection of Photography; and founder of Neomodern, he's long been passionate about advancing the language of photography. ** Enjoy show notes at www.neomodern.com/podcast
