Who am I?
I'm Jon, the host/creator of the Clone Army Radio podcast. I'm also an author. The books I write partly came from my love of Star Wars and Sci-fi. The genres I write in are horror, crime thriller, Sci-fi, super hero, and fantasy. I also have a side hobby researching and writing articles about cryptids, folktales, mythology, and of course, Star Wars. Being a podcast host is one of the things I enjoy the most. I've learned how to produce and edit audio, I love planning the topics for the show (with the help and input of my co-host), and I love sharing our passion for Star Wars with the world. We've built a little community of friends that listen to our show, and it's so much fun when I get to chat with them. When I have a podcast episode to record, it's what I look forward to all week. When I was a kid, I wanted to host my own radio show. I've always enjoyed talk radio, and as my job took me on the road, I discovered a radio show about aliens, and a podcast about Star Wars. Growing up with Star Wars in my family, I've always loved it. My friends and I talked about Star Wars all the time, so it made sense to me to start a Star Wars podcast. I could never claim to be a Star Wars expert, but I've grown up with it, I'm surrounded by it, and I'm always learning more about it. It's one of my greatest loves, and I love talking about it with my friend/co-host, and other friends too.
My Show
What is my podcast about and/or how does it relate to the playlist topic you chose?
Clone Army Radio is all about Star Wars. We discuss the lore, the movies, the streaming series, the books, collecting, cosplaying, and more. We do weekly or bi-weekly episodes discussing topics such as: breaking down episodes of the latest series in an after show format, discussing the traits and motives of specific characters, and breaking down the latest news.
What is my podcast playlist about?
My list of podcasts I listen to is a good showing of the kind of person I am, honestly. It's a combination of many of my passions, and I truly believe these shows do what they're doing so well that they deserve to be heard. I can connect them together in a way as well—Star Wars dips into a lot of Norse Mythology. It also has unexplainable stories or things such as the force and mysteries involving Mortis and the world between worlds. If you're a Star Wars fan, you'll likely dig inside the films for hidden meanings, production methods, and of course, the soundtracks. That's what most of these shows do, but of course they're not all about Star Wars. You can't go wrong listening to any of them—but also, please give my show a listen, as well!
1. Nordic Mythology Podcast
Why this podcast?
Norse Mythology is one of my greatest passions. I recently discovered I have Viking ancestry, which makes my passion for all of this make sense to me. This podcast goes into lore, and it debunks many of the things we see in Viking TV shows in a respectful manner, of course. They're very knowledgeable and bring on some fun guests. I walk away from each episode knowing I've learned something new.

Have you ever wondered "What is a Viking?", "Were Vikings tattooed?" or "Did they ever REALLY use the Blood Eagle? If so, then this is the right podcast for YOU.
In this podcast, follow along Daniel Farrand's (Owner of Horns of Odin) journey as he tries to make sense of the complex history of the Viking Age and Nordic Mythology, through easy to digest, funny, natural (and often very honest) conversations.
Daniel is joined by Co-Host (and in house archaeologist) Margrethe Havgar, as the pair are joined by a host of guests; which include world leading scholars and Viking Age creators, to world renowned musicians and movie stars.
So, if you've ever asked "Were Runes used for magic?" or "is Thor REALLY the only person who can lift his hammer?". We'll definitely have an episode on it
But be prepared to be told, "It's Complicated."

2. Scarif Scuttlebutt Podcast
Why this podcast?
This is a fun show. They mostly cover Star Wars, but also dig into a lot of other areas in nerd culture. The weekly episodes have different friends on and they carry on a discussion in a way that makes the listeners feel like they're part of the conversation. They sometimes ask the hard questions in their topics, which makes it fun... they're not afraid to state their opinions and feelings regardless of what their feedback could be on it. It's refreshing to hear honest people talking about Star Wars in a respectful, but fun and heartfelt way.

3. Unexplained
Why this podcast?
This podcast is great for road trips or if you're like me and work on the road. The host has a great voice for telling stories, and that's what this podcast is... storytelling. It covers strange real life events that are unexplainable. Many have to do with hauntings, which is one of my passions. It's a great show to sort of get lost in.

SEASON 07 WILL BEGIN FRIDAY JULY 28TH
Unexplained is a haunting and unsettling bi-weekly podcast about strange and mysterious real life events that continue to evade explanation. 4. Reading Between the Reels: Finding Meaning in the Movies You Love
Why this podcast?
Big fan of these guys! They have a fun formatted discussion about popular movies from old to new, and it's great because they don't all agree on the same things. Some love a movie or a part of a movie and the others don't. They poke fun at each other, but it's all respectful and a good time. They dig deep into lore at times, they discuss behind the scenes, and break down whichever movie they're discussing. They also talk about the soundtracks of the films, which I appreciate because not a lot of shows do that.

5. Coffee With Kenobi: Star Wars Community & Conversation
Why this podcast?
One of the first Star Wars podcasts I'd ever heard. Dan is brilliant, and I enjoy listening to his takes on all things Star Wars. I don't like all of the same things he likes, but I enjoy listening to what he says about those topics because it opens my mind to a different point of view. He breaks out the occasional dad joke, which cracks me up because I'm always making dad jokes too. They go deep into lore and storytelling, and character breakdowns on this show in a way that feels like a fun and enlightening college course.
