The best podcasts for wrestling fans

Who am I?

My name is John Baker and I’m the host of The Podski with John Baker. I’m just a regular fan that loves sitting around and talking to my friends about pro wrestling and sports! The Podski has given me a creative space where I can really challenge myself and have really fallen in love with the process of podcasting! I chose pro wrestling because it was something that truly shaped my childhood and me dream. It made me believe in the impossible. These larger than life characters that you see on tv made me feel like I can do anything and now I get to watch it from an adult perspective. The magic is when it makes me feel like it did when I was 10.

What is my podcast playlist about?

This playlist is not only a list of shows that I personally listen to, it’s a playlist that I model my own show after. I try to take the great things that all these shows do and make it my own on The Podski!!

The podcasts I picked and why

1. The Podski with John Baker

Why this podcast?

This is my podcast. It’s my creative space to talk about my passion and the best part about it is that I get to share with my guests. It’s a weekly show and I cover past wrestling shows, current events within pro wrestling and just have a ton of fun with it!

3. What Happened When

Why this podcast?

This is my personal favorite weekly podcast. Tony is the greatest host of a show that they literally had to tear the script up from day 1 after they learned live on air that Tony literally never remembered anything from the past! They do watch alongs and the best was during the Covid era, they did every weekly episode of World Championship Wrestling for 1986.

Though the Monday Night Wars may be over you can still relive the memories of Jim Crockett Promotions and World Championship Wrestling. Hear for yourself why What Happened When with Tony Schiavone is a hilarious trip down professional wrestling's memory lane. Join Tony and Conrad every Wednesday morning at 6am ET
