The best podcasts for TTRPG content led or hosted by women and enbys

Who am I?

We're an actual play TTRPG podcast set in an alternate history home brew world based around Ancient Greece and Greek Mythology! Because women/enbys exist in the TTRPG space, and there are plenty of people out there who could benefit from seeing that it's not just a "man's hobby" or a "boys club" and is a great space for all!

My Show

What is my podcast about and/or how does it relate to the playlist topic you chose?

We're a group of men, women, enbys, etc who live TTRPGs and want to share our love with others to help grow this hobby!

What is my podcast playlist about?

Women and Enbys who lead shows about TTRPGs and help to make this a more inclusive and safe community for all.

The podcasts I picked and why

1. The Slovenly Trulls

Why this podcast?

These Slovenly Sleuths go above and beyond, researching in depth and bringing us all the D&D content imaginable all while discussing it through a feminist lense (and also acknowledging that our modern perspective is different than how society tended to see things back in the day and giving the benefit of the doubt when warranted that people meant well). Honestly, probably one of, if not the best source for information on how to make D&D and TTRPGs in general more welcoming and unproblematic!

Join two Big Bad Evil Girls as they rant about D&D, feminism, and the High Wizard of Patriarchy. In this monthly deep dive, hosts Shardae and Lyssa discuss the problematic past of tabletop RPGs and how we can learn from them.

Have a seat, pour some ale, and roll some Dexterity saves to avoid all the broken glass.

2. Potions and Potpourri

Why this podcast?

Because these amazing Gal Pals dive deep into different topics related to TTRPGs, such as how to make a more interesting homebrew world, how to get started doing character voices, how to better include a pantheon of gods in your world (hey, we're in that one!) and they frequently collaborate with others to do so! They're always a delight to listen to, and they bring a great wealth of knowledge, experience, and perspective to the community!

3. Gals & Goblins

Why this podcast?

Gals and Goblins bring a great and fun energy to their TTRPG actual play show, plus all the chaos, and we couldn't recommend them enough! Also, they consciously try to bring more people into this community who felt or were actively excluded in the past when it was seen as more of a "boys club" and help to bring more diversity and inclusivity to the space!

Gals & Goblins is an actual play TTRPG podcast that loosely follows the rules of Dungeons & Dragons and strictly follows the Rule of Cool. Join Campbell Duffy, Lilly Percifield, Olivia Rose McCain, and Jared VosWinkel as they traverse the magical realm of Eldrivale and make their way to Frogmont Adventuring Academy for Young Women. We don’t know exactly what the future holds, but we can assure you there will be shenanigans and friendship galore!

Tabletop Tiddies began in 2020, with our Dungeons and Dragons Actual Play Stream and Podcast, The Wildwell Trials. For our inaugural season, we took a dive into Fearfort, a world completely homebrewed by our Dungeon Goddess, Charlene Bayer.

Three years later, we now have produced three seasons of Dungeons and Dragons live streamed shows, two seasons of Tiddies By Night, our Vampire the Masquerade Chronicle, and a handful of one shots, mini series, and Patreon Exclusive shows. Our shows have featured guests such as Josephine McAdam, B.Dave Walters, and Noura Ibrahim, and we can’t wait to have more wonderful guests at our table.
