Who am I?

This is the formal me - boring but necessary to tell you who I am. In a career spanning 29 years, I have held leadership roles at McKinsey, Microsoft, IBM, Dun & Bradstreet, IBM, and TCS. In addition, I am a recognized thought leader in the AI/Blockchain space, a TEDx speaker on the first AI & Ethics Journal editorial board, and a member of the Forbes Tech Council/World Economic Forum. Currently a Senior Advisor/Board Member with several startups in the fintech, artificial intelligence, and blockchain space. I am a Fellow of the Digital Euro Association and Royal Society of Arts. I worked for a year on the world's largest identity program implemented in India - Aadhaar. I co-authored a couple of books listed amongst the top 20 new fintech books to read in 2020. On my own time, I work with animal welfare organizations and am the proud parent of Toffee, a golden labrador retriever. I am convinced I am thaasophobic (fear of getting easily bored). Maybe, like Percy Jackson, I have ADHD and, unbeknownst to me, am a secret god-child on Earth :-). I love tech. I love the possibilities it opens up; I love the optimism it gives humans to better their lives. But I am also a history buff, love comics, regularly test drive the latest cars, and…there – I think I got bored just writing all this. That is why I started our podcast with my friends Sheetal and Nilesh. Here, I share content from diverse fields that holds my attention, and I hope it inspires you, too.

My Show

What is my podcast about and/or how does it relate to the playlist topic you chose?

Coming from the world of technology and research, we realised technology is an odd discipline in that sense — it has the potential to impact the lives of people as individuals and as a society significantly, and yet so many people know so little about it or expect so much from it — both equally dangerous. Perhaps the central challenge associated with tech-related conversations, we decided, was that many people found technology challenging to understand and decode. It was almost always of tech, for tech, by tech. As a result, most people had little interest in technology unless it directly impacted their daily lives. Think of the podcast as Neo choosing between taking a blue pill or a red pill. The blue pill represents continuing belief that technology is complicated and meant for geeky-looking people hunched over multiple monitors. And the red pill, as in "The Matrix," represents the liberating feeling that it's not a big deal; the red pill is 3TB. Tech is tough. Techies bring it on themselves with jargon and complexity, but does a user have to be a techie to use their product? The 3 Techies Banter podcast ensures Tech is not Tough. You can even laugh about it! 3 Techies Banter is a technology podcast for non-techies (and techies); anyone with a sense of humour). Every week, through our podcast, we talk about Economics, Finance, History, Culture, Trivia, and related anecdotes about Technology. Five simple objectives: - Make tech conversational – differing yet fact-filled - Become the 'FunTech' podcast of choice for all - Encourage healthy debate and voice opinions on the future of tech - Marry tech, with the economics and finance of tech - Have lots of fun and laughs The podcast covers a broad spectrum of topics, from explaining the metaverse to demystifying blockchain, crypto and fintech, ethics of artificial intelligence, and more. It weaves paradoxes, economic theory, and customer insights (let us not forget jokes) to explain concepts in a light-hearted conversational format. You go away believing that you could easily have this chat with your friends. Or you could just have been part of the 3TB banter. Tech is not Tough. You can even laugh about it. Hence our playlist is also about easy listening and quick understanding - in a light-hearted manner.

What is my podcast playlist about?

"3 Techies Banter" is like sitting down with three of your most tech-savvy friends who can't decide whether they're here to enlighten you or make you laugh. In this podcast, the trio of tech enthusiasts dive into the deep end of the digital world, discussing everything from the latest gadgets to the complexities of blockchain, all while keeping the banter as light as a cloud (storage, that is). Imagine a virtual roundtable where each techie brings their unique flavour to the conversation. One minute they're dissecting the intricacies of AI, the next they're playfully debating whether robots will one day make their coffee just right. It's a blend of deep technical knowledge served with a side of humour, making even the most complex tech topics digestible and entertaining. The hosts have a chemistry that's as compatible as the best tech ecosystems. Their discussions are a mesh network of insights, filled with nerdy references that would make any Silicon Valley denizen nod in approval. They have a knack for unravelling the tangled wires of technology, turning what could be dry and dense topics into engaging and lively discussions. What sets "3 Techies Banter" apart is how it balances the 'tech' with the 'banter.' They manage to keep the conversation accessible, ensuring that even those who can't tell a byte from a bit can follow along and enjoy the ride. It's like a tech TED Talk but with more jokes and less jargon. In summary, "3 Techies Banter" is a podcast that brilliantly bridges the gap between geek and chic. Whether you're a tech novice looking to learn, or a seasoned IT professional seeking a lighthearted take on the latest trends, this podcast is your go-to for a fun and informative tech talk. It's where humour meets hardware and where jest meets Java. For anyone who loves technology or just loves to hear techies talk shop, this podcast is a must-listen.
