The best podcasts for Movie Conversations

Who am I?

I began my love of film in high school, and it tied into my love of music. Over the years, I gradually started to think deeper about both, and that led me to writing about film. As I started to want to make my writing and musical compositions more prevalent, Sonic Cinema was born. I'm someone who loves digging deep into movies, whether it's an individual film, a series of films, a segment of film history or a particular filmmaker. This is what the Sonic Cinema Podcast does, and a lot of the podcasts I've sought out about movies do this in fascinating ways.

My Show

What is my podcast about and/or how does it relate to the playlist topic you chose?

The Sonic Cinema Podcast is about exploring film from a variety of perspectives, whether it's a film festival, the Oscars, a particular filmmaker or genre, or a film in particular. I also like learning about people through the films we discuss, and what inspires them about it. That's why I love these podcasts.

What is my podcast playlist about?

Sometimes, the dissection of a movie or movie ideas is secondary to the conversation being had. These are some of my favorites.

The podcasts I picked and why

1. Fat Dude Digs Flicks Movie Podcasts

Why this podcast?

In their series, “Let’s Taco Bout,” this podcast is about building on its guest’s life and how it connects to the movie being discussed. I love listening to how movies are important to a person’s life, and this might be my favorite example of that.
