The best podcasts for Mixing Agatha Christie and True Crime

Who am I?

Hello, I am a working parent who decided to do a podcast as a hobby. It's been something that I have really enjoyed purely for the amount of different people I have communicated with and interviewed. I thought about the things which I was interested in and I came to the conclusion that Agatha Christie, history and true crime was something that perhaps would mix really well together as a podcast.

What is my podcast playlist about?

I have so much admiration for the Agatha Christie podcasts already out there. I didn't really listen to podcasts but my wife does and she suggested I start listening to some to. I came across All About Agatha and loved it so much I wanted to have a go myself!

The podcasts I picked and why

1. All About Agatha (Christie)

Why this podcast?

I think this is probably the most listened to and well known Agatha Christie podcast. If you like mystery novels and want to know the background to them and an analysis of the story then give them a listen!

All About Agatha is a podcast all about, well, Agatha. Agatha Christie, of course. The Queen of Crime, a real-life Dame of the British Empire and author of sixty-six mystery novels that spanned the Twentieth Century, defining a genre. For five years, Catherine Brobeck and Kemper Donovan revisited these novels in publication order, ranking them according to pre-set criteria (plot, character, etc.). Tragically, Catherine Brobeck passed away at the end of 2021. Since then, Kemper has completed the podcast's ranking project, and now contents himself with interviewing like-minded obsessives, dissecting new adaptations, and trying to solve the age-old mystery of why Christie--and Christie alone--endures as powerfully as she does. Call it a Christie-fest, as together we revisit Hercule Poirot, Miss Marple, Tommy and Tuppence, and, oh, so much more...!
