The best podcasts for getting sucked into

Who am I?

I love all the spookie and learning about true crime, spreading awareness to the people. That's basically what my podcast does. I try to keep it light hearted because I'd like to think that's what victims would want. I don't read from a script so things can get a little goofy, but who doesn't love it?! I have no idea what traumatic event made me this weird, but here I am. I love getting scared or getting sucked into fantasy worlds. Here is my theory, I never went on vacations due to the lack of green flow in my life, maybe this was a way of "getting away" for cheap????

My Show

What is my podcast about and/or how does it relate to the playlist topic you chose?

My podcast is mainly true crime with a dash of the spooks. It's light hearted when it can be, but respectful of the people involved (not the bad guys though). I don't read from a script, it's just me, my mic and my computer weirding it out for awhile. Give it a listen:)

What is my podcast playlist about?

There's no real main topic, it's just podcast stories that I thought were done very well. It also breaks up the normal factual podcasts that I listen to.

The podcasts I picked and why

1. Case 63

Why this podcast?

I recently discovered this podcast. It's got some twists and turns in it that you won't believe. The voice acting was so flippin' good, you can imagine the characters playing out the scene. Only complaint is that there isn't more.

2. Strawberry Spring

Why this podcast?

I'm a sucker for all things Steven King. I feel like you always need some Steven in your life, he keeps it interested. Spring Heeled Jack is also super fascinating to me and I don't like enough people know about it.

Based on the short story by Stephen King, Strawberry Spring is a scripted podcast set against the backdrop of the sixties revolution on the campus of New Sharon College. We follow a generation of students who don't trust authority, the futile efforts of the local police, and a young, determined reporter as he chases the bloody trail of Springheel Jack, an unrelenting, modern-day Jack the Ripper. After vanishing and leaving his murders unsolved, Jack is back - along with a new Strawberry Spring, a weather pattern with an unusual fog bank that rolls in every eight years. Using the fog to hide his tracks, he taunts New Sharon with fresh kills, each murder more violent than the last. The 8-episode season stars Garrett Hedlund, Milo Ventimiglia, Sydney Sweeney, Herizen Guardiola, Al Madrigal, Ken Marino, and Brec Bassinger.

3. Faerie

Why this podcast?

I don't know how I found this podcast, but I think about it probably once a week. It is a super fantastical story that gets crazier and crazier. The fair folk sure know how to get wild. I'm just hopping for a season 2!
