Who am I?

First time podcast writer, focussing on audio drama and comedy writing :) Based in the UK, I'm one of the creators of 'Dear Bastard!', streaming now on GoodPods. I like to hear made up stories from your heads, add some drama and humour and I'm hooked! So many of you have funny stories to tell, so create a world and add them to it!

My Show

What is my podcast about and/or how does it relate to the playlist topic you chose?

My podcast is pure sitcom: 'Dear Bastard!' is a radio play released in sitcom podcast, set in a house somewhere that's been divided into flats. All seems well from the outside – but within, the six residents are trapped in a never-ending group email thread that brings out the worst in everyone. As they try unsuccessfully to navigate their differences, minor problems like overfull bins and malfunctioning doorbells begin to escalate into passive-aggressive rows about invasive species in the garden, allegations of money-laundering and fraud, and shady remarks designed to make you laugh your head off. The show won the Silver Medal at the 2022 New Zealand podcast awards and features new voice actors from across the UK and beyond. You can find it right here on GoodPods - look for the blue handprint!

What is my podcast playlist about?

Similarly, my playlist is about original content, drama, fiction. Stories that folks have brought to life. Characters they have breathed into reality.

4. DASH

Why this podcast?

We love this story: film noir meets podcasting. A classical whodunnit, with an underlying story arc about the detective, this will keep you hooked all the way through.

1940, Los Angeles. Openly gay private eye Dash Malone, combats a society that rejects him, a lover who isn’t honest with him, and a rash of brutal murders that are somehow connected with his new prospective client, the mysterious Zita Makara. As the bodies stack up, Dash discovers the seemingly unrelated parts of his life are really pieces of a larger puzzle. Can he conquer the monsters of the past to stop a terrifying future from occurring?

Ripped from the pages of the hit indie comic book, this weekly podcast is a reimagined queer take on a classic genre that’s a blend of noir, horror, and mystery.

“A love letter, a critique, and a kick in the ass to the modern moment long overdue.” - Comic book writer Steve Orlando.
