The best podcasts for author interviews

Who am I?
I'm an educator, podcaster, and author with a passion for books and reading and a mission to help people discover books and authors they might not otherwise find. As a life-long Oklahoman (Okie), I wanted to take my passion for books and reading and use it to highlight the incredible work done by authors close to home. Oklahoma isn't typically thought of as a place that produces authors, but there are a ton of fantastic writers coming out of the state and I want to help people find it. I love listening to authors talk about their work. Everything from inspiration to writing process to the business side to the nuts and bolts of the craft. As an author myself, I draw inspiration and education from these shows and as a reader I discover new authors every time I listen.
My Show
What is my podcast about and/or how does it relate to the playlist topic you chose?
The Okie Bookcast is committed to connecting curious readers to their next great read by amplifying Oklahoma authors and stories. I release interviews with authors and other book-connected folks twice a month and also host a monthly book chat show (Your Next Great Read) with my daughter, author Hannah Herron, and a special guest. Every episode of the Bookcast features conversation about books and the art and business of writing them. This list is an extension of my podcast providing other places for people to hear about great authors and books.
