Who am I?

I am the founder and host of The Writing Community Chat Show. It is my passion which started after I wrote two self published novellas. I have since moved onto writing screenplays. The Writing Community Chat Show is a weekly live online YouTube show that brings together some of the brightest and most talented writers from around the world to discuss their craft, share their stories, and offer advice and inspiration to fellow writers. Whether you're an aspiring writer, a published author, or simply a lover of words, the Writing Community Chat Show is the perfect place to connect with other like-minded individuals and discover the power of the written word. Each week, the show features insightful discussion, valuable advice, and creative inspiration. You'll have the opportunity to learn from the experiences and insights of best-selling authors, literary agents, and writing coaches. You'll also be inspired by the stories of writers who have overcome challenges and achieved success. The show's online community is a great place to connect with other writers and share your work. Visit our website today to learn more and subscribe to the show! Our writing community chat show emerged from a place of profound gratitude, a direct response to the invaluable support the writing community extended to us on our personal writing journeys. My co-host and I, having navigated the challenges and triumphs of the writing world, felt compelled to create a platform that gives back to the community that helped shape our paths. Our show is a heartfelt thank-you, a way of amplifying the voices of fellow writers. In each episode, we invite members of the writing community to share their life stories, providing insights into their struggles, victories, and the wisdom they've gained. The format is not just a broadcast but an interactive space, encouraging audience participation and fostering a sense of connection. Through this endeavor, we aim to contribute to the collective narrative of the writing world, offering a platform where every writer's journey is acknowledged, celebrated, and shared.

What is my podcast playlist about?

The show is a live streaming YouTube podcast that is broken down into 3 parts. Part 1 is The Road To Writing. The Road To Writing lets the author tell us their story, how they got into writing, what their inspirations were, and the path to publication. This part of the show has brought out some amazing stories, and revealed so many great writing tips and advice. Part 2 is What's The Story. What's The Story looks at the authors latest release and we discuss what their fans can expect in the future. Part 3 is Community Questions. Community Questions allows you, the audience, to ask us and our guest questions during the live show. This is a great time to take specific advice and apply it to your writing journey. We have interviewed many indie authors, NYT & Sunday Times bestsellers. The likes of Sir Ian Rankin, Steve Cavanagh, Christopher Moore, Adele Parks, Mark Billingham, Jasper Fforde, CJ Tudor, CL Taylor, Dom Jolly, Max Brooks, Craig Robertson, Tony Kent, Caroline Kepnes, Sophie Cousins, Stu Turton, Alex North, Will Carver, SJ Watson, Joseph Knoxx, Luca Veste, Julie Cohen, Will Dean, MW Craven, Kristoffer Polaha, and many more have appeared and loved the show.

Discussion, debate, even a little dispute – expect it all on The Book Club Review. Every month hosts Kate and Laura bring you a new episode. That could be Book Club where we chat about the book read most recently by one of our book clubs. It could be Bookshelf, an episode dedicated to the books we’re reading outside of book club – the ones we get to pick and choose. Or it could be an interview with a book club, bookshop or book lover. Whatever the topic, every episode features lively and frank reviews and recommendations.

3. let's get lit

Why this podcast?

Will Carver and S J Watson have both appeared on our show. They are great authors and Will has appeared more than once. We love chatting with him and he has a lot of value when it comes to writing and publishing. This show is similar to ours in the sense that we grab a few beers and chat about writing. So if you are looking for a fun, writing, alcohol fuelled chat, then this is for you.
