The best podcasts about The Music Business

Who am I?

Hi, I host a podcast about Artist Management, called Tough Love: Adventures in Artist Management. We explore all the various aspects of working with artists, and the roads that led to it, along with, on occasion, some of the other folks who support artists and their efforts. Come join us if you'd like. In the meantime, enjoy this list of some of my favorite Music Business focused podcasts. Having stumbled into becoming an artist manager some 20+ years ago, I've always found the role fascinating to me. Managers are often as unique as their artists; their path into artist management is never a straight (or deliberate) line.

5. The Trap Set with Joe Wong

Why this podcast?

While this one isn't technically a music business podcast, it's a podcast interviewing drummers, it does contain some good nuggets about the business in the process. Plus, I love Joe's approach to interviewing. He spends a lot of time just getting to know the folks he talks to, so it's not all business either, which I find super insightful.
