Who am I?

We're a group of Atlanta-area nerds who are passionate about board games and the way they have evolved - and continue to evolve - over time. Our crew includes a board game historian with a truly ludicrous collection, an experienced RPG author, and a science teacher, and all of us genuinely love and are fascinated by board games.

My Show

What is my podcast about and/or how does it relate to the playlist topic you chose?

We're a monthly podcast dedicated to the history, evolution, present state, and future potential of our favorite board games. That said, we're also fans of TTRPGs, computer games, and various other nerdy media, so we'll listen to almost anything game-related and good.

What is my podcast playlist about?

Quite simply, these are some of our favorite podcasts about tabletop gaming in general - reviews, interviews, actual plays, and/or general discussion. As long as there's good content, good production values, and a sense of humor, we're in!

The podcasts I picked and why

1. TABLETOP TALK - Third Floor Wars

Why this podcast?

This started out as a podcast focused on the miniature skirmish game Malifaux (a great game, by the way), but has evolved into an amazing interview series with some of the most respected and interesting creators in gaming - board game designers, RPG writers, game publishers, and more. Craig has a unique and brilliant interview style, and always gets the most out of his guests.

Do you love tabletop gaming? This is your podcast. Who are the creatives behind your favorite games and content? How do they approach their work? Craig sits with designers, developers, artists, writers, and creators and learns how they approach their work. I try to understand their process, inspiration, and methods for crafting their creations. Craig digs deep into the work and uncovers the origins of your favorite tabletop games and the creative process that brought them to life. Brennan Lee Mulligan, Erika Ishii, Aabria Iyengar, and Lou Wilson hang out together and use games to make stories. It's pretty good.
