In Aanvoerders gaan olympisch hockeykampioen Kim Lammers en journalist Suse van Kleef in gesprek met huidig en voormalig aanvoerders van bijzondere sportploegen.
Het succes van een team hangt natuurlijk van veel factoren af, maar vaak is er één duidelijk gemene deler: een sterke aanvoerder.
Ze spreken over hun rol binnen én buiten de lijnen, het geheim van (misgelopen) succes en de manier waarop ze hun ervaring als sportleider buiten hun sportieve carrière toepassen. Wat is hun geheim en wat hebben ze gemeen?
Over de makers:
Kim Lammers
Kim Lammers (1981) debuteerde op haar 21e in het Nederlands hockeyteam. Ze speelde 200 wedstrijden en scoorde 124 doelpunten. Het belangrijkste keerpunt in haar carrière was dat ze sterker terugkwam na een hele zware knieblessure en het missen van de Olympische Spelen in Beijing. Haar mooiste hoogtepunten waren de WK titels in 2006 en 2014 en het winnen van Olympisch goud tijdens de Olympische spelen in Londen in 2012. Tijdens haar carrière startte ze haar eigen bedrijf in het coachen van mensen en groepen wat aansloot bij haar studie pedagogiek. Die achtergrond en topsport combineerde ze om teams beter te laten samenwerken en het beste uit zichzelf te halen.
Suse van Kleef
Suse van Kleef (1986) is freelance presentator en verslaggever voor radio en tv. Ze was geruime tijd NOS-correspondent in Groot-Brittannië. Na haar terugkomst werd ze in 2021 de eerste vrouwelijke voetbalcommentator van ons land. Daarnaast werkt ze als presentator van het radioprogramma Langs de Lijn e.o. en is ze een veel geziene gast in tv-programma’s Jinek, Khalid & Sophie en Op1. Tijdens de Olympische Spelen in augustus 2021 presenteerde ze op radio 1 het dagelijkse programma RadiOlympia. Vervolgens reisde Suse zelf af naar Japan en was daar voor de NOS hét gezicht van de Paralympische Spelen. Zelf voetbalde ze in het Nederlands elftal onder de 19 toen een kruisbandblessure en maatschappelijke ambities een einde maakten aan haar sportcarrière.
